PUBLIC ADVOCACY: I don’t want to be anyone’s lunch!

We the peopleTHINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX:  Lobbyists have a seat at the “Political ” table, effecting the outcome of legislation independent of Political Parties. They represent entire industries to the detriment of the PUBLIC.   That’s their  function, support the rights of the industry they represent by influencing Congress to act on their client’s behalf.   Can their combined  action and the money expended in support of their industry be considered, bribery?  Since it is influence peddling at the highest levels of government?  Or is lobbying  a Monopoly or “Trust” since a group of individuals determine and may even write the laws favoring the rights of “their client” over the rights of “we the people”?

Can they be legally dismantled under anti trust laws?  Can the government official  accepting the money, or gifts be brought up on high crimes and misdemeanors?    Have we legalized bribery by “bending” the rules for campaign contributions?  According to Christopher Caldwell of the Financial Times, 4/6/14, ” The Roberts court has blinders, since the only corruption that is recognizable is a quid pro quo between a rich benefactor and the receiving Politician?  It is not like that .  More common is an inequality of access to politicians, about which Mr. Roberts professes himself unconcerned. ”

It’s a thought for debate.  This acceptance of Corporate  and Private Influence without restraint is pernicious.  The Roberts Court is disingenuous when stating inequality of access has not harmed , “we the People”!   What do you think?  Any ideas, besides waiting for Congressional legislation? LOL

“We the People” have become every ones’  lunch, it doesn’t give me a “warm fuzzy feeling”.   I prefer,  “We the people, for the people”.  You can’t convince me or Justice Breyer that Corporations are people with more rights then US!

Let’s review the latest erosion of the right’s of the People, those living on the edges, or those in the once prosperous middle class, no way you’re going to “buy” a Congressman.  In effect, we have trampled our Constitution, we no longer have one man one vote.  This government has wilfully trampled the rights of “we the people” and will continue to do so!  The only question remaining;  how long will” We the People,” tolerate being trampled upon?
