The 2014 Human Rights Program in Bosnia-Herzegovina focused significantly on women’s human rights. Here the all female group, consisting of U.S. and Bosnian women, met with Medica Zenica, an organization that works to stop gender based violence and human trafficking, as well as protecting and promoting the rights of survivors of wartime sexual violence. After the experience GYC participant Liz Stalfort wrote eloquently about the experience on GYC’s blog and she then continued to write at Ms. Magazine
