Joyce America Speaks Periscope @11am Doing nothing is not an option! America needs work!

I am irate! Why? Events and problems I thought were solved remain in Limbo.
Insurance companies still don’t have assurances from our government that they’re being paid. This is cruel to everyone: the Corps. , the hospitals , Doctors and” we the People”.
Infrastructure is not being done on a grand scale because States have no excess cash. Since, they are struggling to pay their Medicaid bills, a normal on going costs, there is no money left over for infrastructure. . Toll roads and gas taxes have been proposed and these additional taxes would further burden the working poor and Middle Class.
The stock market rises based on the assumption there will be tax cuts and deregulation of many industries. Irrational exuberance perhaps once again, as Bankers and Pundits close their eyes to the gathering Financial Bubbles.

Meanwhile , Eric Prince reemerges to save Afghanistan , this time with a provisional government ? What does he know about Nation Building? I still remember Blackwater’s stain on Iraq. No matter, his men were recently acquitted for murder. We don’t need his mercenaries for hire in Afghanistan, the Afghanis will hate us more then they do now. Afghanistan wants Americans out of their Country.

Since WWll we have intervened in civil wars costing millions of lives on all sides. What have we accomplished? Why persist? We should be looking inward to repair our own decaying infrastructure.

We should stop whining and start solving problems. Step one would be to lower the Corporate tax rate to 28-22% and close all loopholes. Collect taxes from Corporations and use those taxes for improving our Country. We can tax  their Corporate Foreign subsidiaries at 15%. That would take some of the pressure off of the States. As I’ve stated before,  there are other ways to raise revenue. We’ve seen the affects of tax cuts on Corporate America. Tax cuts increase individual salaries at the top leaving American workers either jobless or underemployed. No more tax cuts. We are stretched too thin as it is!

In my own City, I found it disturbing that the most crowded subway lines in the City, The #4,#5, &#6  trains could add 10 extra trains to relieve congestion on the Lexington Avenue Lines.  What’s the reasoning behind underutilization of serviceable trains? Why now? Today a story in the NY Times, clarified “our” problem.  Lack of funds.  DeBlasio has proposed a targeted tax on singles and families earning $250,000 and $1,000,000.  A 7% tax increase, similar to my proposal to raise the income level on payroll deductions , would raise approximately $800 Billion  annually, enough to fix our ailing subways.   Subway Transportation is critical infrastructure in this City , we need it on time and reliable.  We need it now, not in 10 years.  Finally, a method suggested that does not tax the working poor and the Middle Class.

Another day , another problem and sometimes a solution.  There are many solutions. Who will legislate them and make Americans’ daily lives less stressful and more productive is the issue?     Doing nothing is not an option.  Infrastructure in our Country is so poorly maintained , the Public is at risk.

See you at 11am and we’ll chat.
