I’m taking a short break from Political issues to breathe the Berkshires air, visit with old friends, reacquaint myself with Glass Artists and the Community & return Monday with a fresh perspective on our Society.
I may, while seeing the sites , assuming I have cell service , show you some of my favorite places.
Did you know that Great Barrington was the birthplace of W.E.B. Du Bois in 1868? His home was destroyed by fire , however, you can walk the grounds and feel the essence of his once vibrant farming & Cultural Community.
The African American trail runs north from here and is well marked thanks to grants from The University Of Massachusetts and dedicated activism!
