AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce :All NYC Citizen Advocates invited to attend Lobby Day in Albany 1/14/19 for Election Reform Laws & Criminal Justice Reform. Click on Links. See you Monday. More to follow!

Dear followers:

NYC is planning a trip to Albany for Citizen Activists.  I will attend to support both agendas.  Click the links, if you’re in NYC  and will attend.  For further information on both agendas, contact Therese Revesz @TeRevesz on Twitter.

If you’ve been following me, you know I’ve submitted my ideas for Election Reform to Jerry Goldfeder, who authored the book on Election Reform Laws.  Now is the time to raise our voices.  It would be gratifying to pass significant Election Legislation Reforms.

Criminal Justice Reform-Schools Not Jail

We spent all of last year building and fighting for power, now it’s time to change policy and lives!

We’ll start that off this Monday, January 14th, 2019 at the Schools not Jails lobby day. Can you join us?

On the 14th, we’ll be heading up to Albany and letting our elected leaders know that our public schools need to be fully funded, and the time has come to decorate our jails with Bail and Discovery Reform.

Voting Rights-Let NY Vote

2019 is The Year of Voting Reform in New York!

Join the Let NY Vote coalition on Monday, January 14 in Albany as we meet with state legislators to champion comprehensive, equitable voting reform. Our 2019 legislative priorities are grassroots tested and voter approved! More details coming soon!

The new unified majority in NY State has chosen voting reform as a top priority – now we must make sure comprehensive, equitable and impactful legislation is passed, not just what looks good on paper.

UPDATE: Things are moving more quickly than anyone expected – voting reform may pass as early as next Monday!

This means we’re moving our Albany Action Day up to this Monday, January 14 – instead of January 23 – to make sure our reps know that New York wants to see comprehensive and progressive voting reform as the top priority in 2019.

Full schedule and meeting location TBA.

Please RSVP

(or update your RSVP status on eventbrite) so we can assess transportation needs.

In community,
Let NY Vote
