  1. The problem here is that home healthcare employees as well as nursing home employees  are not regulated enough and appropriately! Poor care is regularly provided to our senior citizens, many of whom are Medicare/Medicaid recipients and it is also true that they are paid low wages with little or no benefits. But it’s wrong to say they’re “more regulated than banks accountable for every moment of patient  care…” when that is so misleading in an industry that hires underqualified people to take care of our senior citizens, most who are in the low/middle classes in America. This for profit industry sacrifices care of our seniors by hiring cheap underqualified aides to whom they don’t pay decent wages or benefits and they currently get away with it!

    1. Thank you for your comments. However, I disagree with you. There is no regulatory standard of care for patients. Every aid I’ve known has been dedicated to service. They also travel long distances from home and have to check in and check out when they’re leaving. They are indeed accountable and don’t earn a minimum wage.
