Joyce:America Speaks Periscope @11am Monday : Enough is enough! Let’s unite to seek Common Ground

June 19, 2017

Why should we the people remain hostage to bad policy ?

Trump does nothing to help we the people or his base.  80% of Americans do not want the ACA repealed and replaced.   Negotiate with the Insurance Companies, assure them of subsidies , lift the law limiting negotiations by Medicare on Big Pharmaceutical Corporations and “Fix”  the ACA .   Make it more affordable! It’s like us , a work in progress.  Anyone in Congress will get the Glory for making the ACA a quality healthcare product at less costs.

In the normal course of events we’d talk to each other irrespective of our differences. I understand  and don’t support the intensity of hatred between Democrats and Republicans.   Denial of good policy to hurt your opponent makes no sense. It makes no sense to have winner take all politics. In fact, it harms all of us!
Destruction of a previous administrations policies, for the sake of claiming victory for one group ,over another , makes no sense. Politics affects our lives. It isn’t a “blood” sport with a winning team.

We can vote out bad policy, by voting out all of the people’s representatives who act  in the interests of their benefactors instead of in the interests of we the people.   We have to ask, what happened to Statesmanship?  and the  concept of achieving  Common Ground?

Hopefully, Trump and his administration and their enablers will be voted out of office. Some may be impeached. None of these actions can come soon enough for me! I’ve never felt this way before.   The lies spread to demean and disenfranchise people are an unconscionable representative of folks no longer concerned with the unity of our Nation.  Sad, so sad and destructive.

I champion the right of the Center to exist. I champion civility and espouse decent common sense bipartisan policy.   In this age of transparency, those who hide from us and their peers, shows me they are up to no good. Enough is enough.

Let’s go for Impeachment and elect me as the People’s President, sooner rather then later. I promise to stock the cabinet with a bipartisan diverse group of experts.
If you’re with me, tell your Congressman we want to Impeach and remove as many reactionaries & Trump cronies as possible. We want to move our Country forward with real, not Trumped up , jobs. We support the center and seek common ground.

The sooner we remove this group of do nothing’s , the sooner America can get back to restoring our economy and jobs. We want revenue not tax cuts. Let’s unite for the greater good. Together we can work toward eliminating our state of Inequality.

The Voice of Joyce: Apprentice level jobs only ones available? Time to Strike for more?

June 13, 2017

We’ve become a Nation of serfs,  serving an entrenched Monarchy! When they say there are 3-4 million jobs out there, they mean , at the Apprentice ship level. I wonder, do apprentices get paid? If they were in the Union, they’d get 25-50% of the Union Journeyman wage scale plus benefits.

In our Gig economy, how much is their pay? Most likely minimum wage jobs?  If they lead to upward mobility in 2-4 yrs,  with wage increases , that’s a plus for the very young.

This was normal practice in the old days,  of the 70’s and even the 80’s,  when kids getting out of college , with no work experience made a minimum  wage of $25-35,000 a year. Today’s  $’s  should be would be higher, but they’re not.  Sad, so sad!

Why were  Middle Management jobs deemed expendable?   Why jave we dismissed qualified project managers and failed to hire them back.  We know the airline s can’t schedule without Middle Management expertise in the business, scheduling and IT.  We know Rehab facilities don’t function well without Supervisory management and staffing.  We know IT requires more then coders and upper management direction.  So, why don’t we care?  The only reason I can discern, a dysfunctional organization only affects, “we the People”.  The CEO’s and shareholders are rewarded at the expense of the working public.

So, I see a two class society.  Input at the bottom, no management and the high earners and shareholders at the top. This is no way to run a business or a country.

At some point Americans will  Strike. Wait and see!  If you are afraid someone will take your low level job, don’t despair, there are 3-4 million Apprentice level jobs available, according to our President.  Enough to shuffle through!  Though I still wonder, when will the good high paying jobs return to America?   Where are the proposed Infrastructure jobs?  “We the People”  have nothing to lose but your continued loss of pride and the apathy we’ve sunk into!

The Voice of Joyce: Act now to save ACA Tell Congress to continue Insurance Subsidies. Keep premiums Down! Read on!

April 25, 2017

Dear Followers, this newsletter was just released by the Kaiser Family Foundation, the best resource on American Healthcare. Write or call your Congressman today. If you don’t want healthcare premiums to increase, Congress must subsidize the Insurance Companies.  This is necessary to maintain the least expensive premium at this time.  ACT NOW & ADVOCATE FOR YOUR SELF INTEREST!

Federal Government Could See Net Increase of $2.3 Billion in Costs in 2018 if ACA Cost-Sharing Reduction Payments Eliminated
On Average, Premiums for Silver Plans Would Need to Rise 19% to Offset Lack of Funding for Cost-Sharing Reductions, Triggering Tax Credit Increases
Ceasing payments for the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) cost-sharing reduction program could save $10 billion, but cost an additional $12.3 billion in premium tax credits – an estimated net increase of $2.3 billion, or 23 percent, in federal spending on marketplace subsidies – in 2018, if insurers continue to participate in ACA marketplaces, according to a new analysis from the Kaiser Family Foundation.
ACAalert_Tuesday_New.png

The cost-sharing subsidies, established to reduce out-of-pocket costs for ACA marketplace enrollees with lower incomes, are being challenged in a lawsuit from the U.S. House. With the lawsuit temporarily suspended, the Trump Administration and Congress are in a position to determine whether to continue the payments, which go to insurers to reimburse their costs for providing the cost-sharing reductions.
The Foundation’s new analysis examines potential financial implications if the government stops cost-sharing reduction payments to insurers.
Read the Issue Brief

Without the payments, the analysis finds, the average ACA marketplace premium for silver plans would need to rise by 19 percent in 2018 for insurers to offset the lack of funding. Estimated premium changes vary for the 38 states that used healthcare.gov in 2016, ranging from 9 percent in North Dakota to 27 percent in Mississippi.
Changes to silver plan premiums in ACA marketplaces would affect how much the government owes to eligible enrollees in tax credits. Meant to reduce monthly insurance costs for people with lower incomes (from 100% to 400% of the poverty level), ACA premium tax credits are tied to the premium for the second-lowest cost silver plan in each geographic area.
According to the analysis, the government would owe an estimated additional $12.3 billion in tax credits in 2018, if cost-sharing reduction payments end and if insurers choose to continue offering plans in ACA marketplaces. The government would save $10 billion from stopping the payments, resulting in a net increase in federal costs of $2.3 billion. Extrapolating to the 10-year budget window (2018-2027) using the Congressional Budget Office’s projections for cost-sharing reduction payments, the net increase in federal costs would be $31 billion.

Joyce America Speaks Periscope @11am Where is the America I knew?

February 24, 2017

This is not the America I grew up in? What has happened in 36 days of this Presidency?

One of the lies of this Administration and the  multi national Corporations running our Country concerns the false belief that immigrants and immigration polices have taken our jobs. This is not true.

The favorable tax policies given to big business has allowed multinational corporations to go oversees exploiting the labor of impoverished Nations at the expense of the American worker.

No one in government sought to stop the layoffs of millions in our Country. They were warned lives would be disrupted but CEO’s didn’t care.

What and who did they care about ? themselves and their loved ones, their Lobbyists and Congressmen who were persuaded for a fee to vote for tax incentives favoring the few at the expense of the many. When Corporations move from one State to another seeking favorable tax breaks, who benefits ? Not the workers. Either workers move or they are left with no jobs.

  • Say no to further tax breaks to corporations.
  • Say no to mass deportations of families.
  • Say no to watering down FDA approval of Drugs.
  • Say no to the aim of this administration to divide us and conquer us.

Say yes to a universal strike. Immigrants, dock workers, everyone. Stay home. Stock up on food. We may need to stay home for a while before this administration realizes that Americans are proud to be Americans. That as Americans , we want a return to openness not fear. We want a return to inclusiveness not hate.  We want those jobs promised us!

The American People want good paying jobs for the many. No need to waste money on law enforcement when we need infrastructure, IT, High Speed rail, an electric grid. Our list is endless.

Time to think of QE for the Middle Class. Now. Not in August . Now! $12,000 for 154,000,000 a check from our government to the once vibrant Middle Class.

Joyce:America Speaks: Nationalism Populism small ideas No way to run a Powerful Nation

November 2, 2016

Nationalism,  Populism , small ideas: where are our leaders
Periscope at 11 am. Let’s discuss the political scenario confronting us. It makes me viscerally ill to have to vote for any candidate.  There are 5, so far, the weeks not over yet!

Trump and Clinton are big on insults and  small minded in the face of real issues. Slinging mud , not” talking up”  policy , that’s  what we’re getting.   Entertainment v. real solutions to the Middle Class malaise. You can’t even get the facts on PBS, truthiness and statistics “trump” numbers!

What can we  do with 20 million already casting votes?   Write me in and we’ll get big ideas and a cash check for the Middle Class.

Remember those Bonds I spoke about retiring?  They’re toxic, according to The Economist , at any price.  If rates go up, there will be a race a to get out of Bonds.  Pension funds will be at risk, too!  Better to retire Quantitative Easing and save the Middle Class with a cash check from Treasury!  No more worrying about a financial instruments investors  are forced to “buy and hold”!  Give The Middle Class the Stimulus  before a new Administration takes control, unless its mine!
See you at 11 am.

P.S.: I did send out 800 emails today!   I’ll send out follow up emails, too!
All the best

The voice of Joyce: Back to Basics!

October 7, 2016

Back to Basics!!!’ We don’t have to wait 4 more years or generations to stop our State of Inequality. In fact , in order to avert another fiscal crisis and recession the IMF advises that all countries suffering from stagnation start massive stimulus programs now.

Only more revenue and business will cushion the blow from equity , fixed income bonds , and pension readjustment when the Fed stops tapering . Insurance companies who have been dabbling in risk will be caught up in the fiscal crisis once again , too.

However , this time when the fiscal crisis hits , there can be no Middle Class bailout. The Middle Class no longer has the ability or means to prop up the finances of this Country. This time is different. The Bank, Bankers, Hedge Funds and Insurance Companies will have to bail themselves out. They have the money, Trillions have been made at the expense and suffering of the Middle Class . I have no doubt, the next crisis will occur and those responsible will have to put up the cash for their bailout . Hopefully, we can avert hard times by acting now and demand a massive project, like the Space program, to lift us out of poverty and despair.

Then we can reinstate laws that will make Americans safe from Fiscal collapse once again by making the following Bills Law:

  • Warren & McCain Glass Steagall for the 21 st Century.
  • David Vitter &Sherrod Brown Bill on Derivatives
  • My tax on risk/Derivatives and Hi speed millisecond trades
  • Reinstatement of the bill that prevents Congress from accepting outside funds and prevents them from entering Businesses  they regulate for 7 -10 years.

We can do all this and more.
All the best!   Don’t forget to vote!

The voice of Joyce: We’re outsourcing the Internet! Too! LOL

September 30, 2016

I guess we haven’t learned any lessons from the past!!!  The government intends to outsource  control of the Internet to Icann Industries on Saturday?  One can only shake your head in dismay!

We’ve seen the effects of privatization, “pay to play”!

Poor health care

Unsafe transportation

Inadequate education

Non nutritious food

Unsafe waters and air pollution

Mass incarceration

Predatory lending

Every facet of our society has been co-opted by Big Business.   Why, because we have a utopian view of unbridled corrupt capitalism.  It’s evident,  their  only pursuit is profit for themselves with  the lowest possible human benefit.

Our parents lay abused in Rehab Centers and nursing homes, our children suffer from mal- nutrition and inadequate education,  many without access to education, our people suffer at the hands of privatized jailers and predatory lenders, yet we persist in a Utopian model of a “just”  Corporation!

Corporations were humane, but it took laws and regulations and taxation to curb their ” animal instincts”.    They were controlled in the early part of the 20 th Century and everyone prospered.   However, with the loosening of Corporate Governance and taxation, Corporations have become more powerful then Nations with no responsibility to their customers, ” The American Public”.  We have signed our rights away to another slave master, The Corporation, without a protest,  only a whimper.
We have only ourselves to blame if we remain silent!
