Joyce America Speaks Periscope @11am Friday: The shooting!  Bad policy is making people “crazy”.  Do you see “we the People”, yet?

June 15, 2017

As dreadful as Wednesday’s shooting was, Congress has no reason to believe this is a one off!    Congress continues to pursue Trump’s agenda on Healthcare  “Repeal and Replace”, knowing that millions will be unable to purchase affordable healthcare.  Even if the changes are cosmetic and they kick the “can down the road, why create the perception of harm?  Trumps Agenda,  that he is partially disavowing,  has created hysteria among the populace.

The decent folks on the right and the left  who are watching Congress and understand that policy that hurts the Middle Class, also know that policy is not handed down to a Biblical figure, from on “high”.   Rather,  Bad policy  is made by elected officials, who know the people they are hurting!  That’s sad!  How can Congressmen and women, in good conscience , harm the constituents who elected them to  safeguard and protect their rights?   “We the People”,  now recognize that Laws made  by Congress and the President are not in our “best interests”.    Special interest groups demands   and their Lobbyists ,  come before the needs of “we the People”.

Until Congress and the President realize that ” we the People” understand our sorry plight and understand that we are not content to have a two Class system, violence may continue.

I spend my waking hours thinking how to prevent a Revolution and how to counter bad Federal policy in a rational manner. I’ve come up with Litigation and a National Strike.

I know that trickle down economics doesn’t work. So do most people. Our problem, we should have been shouting our stories of despair, loud and clear, every time more then 100 people lost their jobs. Unfortunately, as humans we were too trusting and hopeful, believing our State of Inequality would be short lived. We never realized, like Piketty did, that once the wealthy Class became obscenely wealthy, preservation of their wealth would become an end in itself. The wealthy enjoy their perks and have no intention of sharing. Like a” large sucking sound”  our money, money from “we the People” has gone  to fund the lifestyles of the rich and famous. While “we the people”  struggle to  make ends meet.

We understand. We see what’s happened and we’re not content to let this State of Inequality continue. I don’t agree with the Fed raising rates. I see it as a massive giveaway to Wall Street once again. I’d rather use some of those bonds to bail out the Middle and poorer classes. According to my calculations, $1.7 Trillion in bonds could be converted into a cash check of $12,000 to help 154,000,000 survive.

A social safety net  for the Middle and poorer classes would be spent and not saved. It would be cash used to fuel many businesses. It’s worth a try!   ” We the People” have suffered for 9 long years with low wages and marginal employment.  America’s Market Society has not worked for us, though it has rewarded CEO’s irrespective of their performance and their shareholders.

If  QE for the Middle and poorer classes is not feasible, I’d like to know why not?  I require an explanation for my 10,000+ followers in my on line Community.

What do you think dear followers? How do you feel about recent events? Do you think the folks in Congress or the President see us yet?
See you at 11 am Friday and let’s chat.

JoyceAmericaSpeaks Periscope @11am Wednesday: Don’t like Legislation? Litigate & ask for damages through class action law suits

June 13, 2017

Forget negativity. Forget suffering. Why can’t we the people fight back through the courts, using Class Action Law Suits?

  • The Court’s have blocked Trumps travel ban.
  • Attorney Generals from Washington, DC and Maryland  are suing Donald Trump  for the right to review & release his tax returns.

Why can’t “we the people” call Trump, the appropriate Cabinet Member and Congress to account for their draconian actions and hold them liable for harming “we the People”?
If people start to lose healthcare due to inaction on providing subsidies to the insurance companies, sue!  Litigation is the tool of choice in a country of Laws and Justice.

I think we should be ready with an injunction, a cease and desist order, to prevent the Senate moving forward on egregious legislation. Why sweat the details or wring our collective hands when we can block bad legislation legally? Anyone should be willing to take on the People’s case, it would be precedent setting.

  • So,  if all else fails Sue and ask for damages.

Next Unionize all 1099’s ! The only way to get rights is to demand them and strike for them. When management knows you have a voice they respond. No one responds to an apathetic majority.   In 1907, when the mine workers protested poor wages and working conditioned , they struck and won.

However, I have a caveat; if and when we  decide on a National Strike for our return to a better way of life, don’t take to the streets,  stay home. Patronize local shops and don’t go to the stores owned by multinationals unless you think they’re one of the “good guys”:  characterized by paying a living wage and  providing  vacation time and health care benefits.   Do tell the rest of  us which Multinationals you support !  The Public needs to know who  and patronize the Corporations of excellence. We’ll invest in them, if we have more then $400.00 at our disposal.

This is one way to stop the apathy and raise our heads high. Use the tools at our disposal to fight this system of labor oppression! Be creative, innovate and we can live our tomorrow’s today.  Let’s Litigate.  If that doesn’t work for you, consider a National stay at home strike!

JoyceAmericaSpeaks Periscope @11am Monday Wake up America, we’re being boiled alive like Frogs!

June 11, 2017

What’s the difference between us and the Russians? They don’t care about politics or politicians, as long as they have an apartment, a good paying job and food. They’ve withstood life under the czars, the Revolution, Stalin, and now Putin. The Russian people are ok as long as their lifestyle remains untouched. Tamper with their right to life, liberty and their pursuit of happiness and the Russian people will not tolerate their governments lack of concern for their rights.  Take away the apartments of 1.6 million Muscovites and they take to the streets.

They’re different then us. We are consumed with Politics and politicians and quietly accept our fate, like frogs boiling slowly.    Otherwise, how can you explain our denial of the facts. American rights have been eroding since the 80’s,  yet most of us didn’t realize the harm done to us till recently.   Some still believe in the “goodness” and capability of Donald Trump and his Administration.  They’re accepting the Party line.   They deny their reality and believe with all their heart , as he continues to destroy our Institutions and degrade the rights of labor , that he will produce “good” paying jobs for them.

One has to wonder why are Americans so tolerant? The rest of the World appears to be demanding an end to cronyism and corruption,  while we accept it and shrug  off it’s effects at our peril.  Our economy is not improving.   Wages are stagnant.  Good paying jobs at the management level are non existent.

Wake up America! We’re being swindled. The alt right will not stop their crusade against the poor and the Middle Class till we’ve all taken to the streets or we’re dead. Stop deluding yourselves, change is slow.  I understand. After 9 yrs of being patient myself,  I realize there are no white knights to save us.   I was hoping for a 3 rd Party to emerge and that never happened either.

I am now my own advocate for change. Enough is enough. Bills are passing the House that make my hair curl and few say anything. Every decent Congressman on both sides of the aisle should be denouncing these assaults on “we the People”. I hear some opposition on the GOP side but not many. We need real dissent to counter this extreme agenda. We need centrists.

I’m no politician and I will encourage decency no matter who says they stand with the American people. Everyone else should get out of our way as we advocate for Legislation that improves the lives of the poor and the Middle Class.  I’ll detail how to generate revenue on Periscope at 11am.

Together we can build an America for the 22 nd Century.  Wake up and join me before we’re boiled alive, ” just like the Frogs”.

See you at 11am and we’ll chat.  More to follow.  Other thoughts to be published tomorrow.  Have a great night.

JoyceAmericaSpeaks Periscope @11am Where is your Compassion, sir?

May 26, 2017

Where is your compassion ? I’ve heard several arguments on NPR in defense of the GOP ACA replacement. I don’t agree with their logic for the following reasons.

Supporters of Trumpcare :

If I have a pre existing condition , I won’t burden the population at large , I will pay for it myself!

My argument against this premise:

If I don’t have the money to pay for my disease , I will suffer and die sooner. Or, if I’m lucky, perhaps I could join a high risk insurance pool, pay more, choose between food and insurance costs and die sooner.
This line of thinking is a lose lose for  the poor, the Middle Class and especially the elderly.  It would also decrease the marketplaces that service “we the People”:  the Insurance market , the hospitals and the Pharmaceutical Industry.  If people have no funds to purchase Healthcare everyone loses.

There’s more! Shifting the burden of Medicaid on to the States and depending on the State’s largess to grant Medicaid on a person by person basis as each person is evaluated for their ability to work.  Sounds like a daunting task.  Who decides?  Who selects and assures that good paying jobs and retraining, if requires, are provided immediately.  How would this program be phased in?

Some states and communities have pockets of economic prosperity and devastation. Who do you reward with Medicaid?   How many well paying jobs are really available?  Will you now have more working poor with limited access to healthcare?  Will you look away when they die? Who will support your next candidacy , if you keep whittling away at the electorate? I ask you all, how can you leave your disparate despairing constituents without healthcare and decent well paying jobs?

Then, Ask yourselves? , How many of the folks remaining , who are young , will vote for this mean spirited approach to Healthcare? Then ask, how many who are earning $150,000 and above constitute the majority of the electorate?

This is a death knell, not just for “we the people”, but for those in support of this bill. The pendulum always swings away from extremes. Be careful what you wish for.

  • In the meantime, please reassure the Insurance Companies that their subsidies remain for next year. The least everyone can do is safeguard our system of care while the debate continues.

Joyce America Speaks Periscope @11am #Resist, March & Disrupt. Congress has to work more and pass “our Legislation “!

April 19, 2017

We don’t want a government run Amok! I’m old school. We speak up for what we know is right.

I love my Country. I love people. I don’t like to be angry or carry vengeance in my heart.  I’m not prepared to dig two graves, one for me or the other  for the one  I hate , so , after soul searching,  I propose the following action plan for the resurrection of  a Bipartisan Congress and ultimately for the American People , especially our dwindling  “MiddleClass” .

We hate Congress working 1/2 a yr. or less ,  “we the people ” could change this dynamic by urging our Congressional representatives to return to work early to perform the people’s work. We want Quality Affordable Healthcare, education for all and a $Trillion Infrastructure program that brings us into the 22 nd Century. Plus clean air and water and a fiscally sound Monetary Policy. How do we ensure their codification into Law? Congress would need to work more hours on the People’s behalf.

if Congress worked more hours on passing good legislation to improve the lives of ” we the People”, they’d be productive on our behalf and earn our respect , especially, if they worked together as a non partisan body.

  • I suggest that several Congressmen & women and Senators go back to work and request that others join them. The Separate houses require a majority to work and Publish Legislation for we the people. See the Constitution Section #5.

Most importantly they should show a willingness to work on behalf of we the people to create an infrastructure program. Not necessarily shovel ready. Solid programs that would unite our country through transportation and IT communication.

Too many rural areas have no means of transportation to their jobs. We need light rail. We need internet connections. Make life easier not harder for our citizens.
Our Country is not founded on cronyism and money for the few. We thrive when our economy resembles a bell curve. There is no trickle down wealth.

Personally I’d rather rely less on the largesse of the wealthy self interested philanthropists and more on the people’s sweat equity to make America greater. We have been bent but we are not beaten. We merely have to act in consort for the Common Good.

Why is the Military successful? Because everyone has everyone else’s back. We the People are successful when we are united. It’s not about Party or political and intellectual silos,  we work best when we work together. We don’t have to play a confrontational game. We need solutions to our state of inequality and many in Congress have written those solutions. Let’s hear them. Let’s vote with our powers at the ballot box and with our phones and computers. This is the first day we work together to take back our Country from special interest groups. It won’t be our last.
A new adventure awaits us! Together!!!!

See you at 11am and let’s talk!

Joyce:America Speaks Periscope @11am poor policy leads to worse outcomes. Healthcare 101 & more

March 14, 2017

They say, if you are wealthy you know? Know what? How to make more money in the only Business you know?

If you ask me, the wealthy are both stupid and greedy. We give them tax subsidies for fossil fuels, $660 Billion and it’s not enough. They’re still suppressing electric and battery powered cars and renewables. Might as well take away their subsidies. We can always add some back , if the owners & CEO’s of fossil fuel businesses become creative and start developing clean energy , not clean coal which doesn’t exist.

My eyes are opened to the truth. Are yours?
If they’re not,  let me persuade you that worrying about the deficit is not in the best interests of the Middle Class and small business. When Trump and the GOP House,  say they want to help, they mean big business and big money. If they wanted to help the Middle Class they would fix the ACA , make all the health insurances cheaper along with drug costs and stop this dreadful ” replacement” from moving forward. Not one of them should be re elected  to public office.

Now dear followers, let me teach you about Insurance coverage and Healthcare.
