Their tuberose, jasmine, lavender and roses have been used since the 1700’s to make exotic perfumes. This may not concern you and it should. Not only is Grasse losing a major industry, Madagascar is suffering, too! They can’t produce vanilla and there’s a shortage of Saffron. What happens when products we rely on are in short supply? The prices go up. How can we curb inflation, if luxuries we cherish, tasty food we eat and everyday necessities, become scarce? Our entire globe is becoming uninhabitable, because we’re in a slow transition to sustainable energy. The War in Ukraine is another contributor to our collective demise. The sooner it ends, the better for the salvation of all mankind.
