- Judge Orders Halt to Construction at Florida’s ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ Detention Center. A federal judge said work must stop for 14 days while she considered arguments that building and operating the immigration detention facility would harm the environment.
- Ousted F.D.A. Vaccine Chief Returns to Agency. Dr. Vinay Prasad’s rehiring was an unusual instance of a federal official targeted by the right-wing activist Laura Loomer being brought back into the Trump administration.
- Republicans Raise the Pressure on Texas Democrats to End Their Walkout. The political and legal threats against Democrats who left Texas to protest a redrawn political map have gone further and faster than many anticipated.

- Tuesdays, Fox Lies 10–11, 6th Avenue & 48th Street;
- Tuesdays after Fox leave for law firm crawl in the area 11–12 (Paul Weiss, Latham Watkins, Wilkie)
- 2nd Saturday of every month, Clinic defense, 8:30 AM, 44 Court Street

- Court Watch Wed., 13 August, 7:30 am ICE training at 26 Federal Plaza
- Wednesday, 13 August, 11 AM, Foley Square, kick off rally for IONY’s campaign for an emergency state legislative session this fall to provide state funding etc to cover the draconian health care cuts, etc., in Trump/MAGA GOP’s new legislation. (RaR endorsed)
