TheVoiceOfJoyce Labor Campaign to start Single Payer Healthcare via Medicaid infrastructure. It would work. Ditto for Medicare. We have the infrastructure in place.

Note: We only have an insurance Middle man, because the people setting up the ACA were insurance Lobbyists first. The insurance companies are making money, while hospitals and doctors are squeezed. An oncologist accepts $65 for Medicare patients? That’s the going rate for most specialists.

We’ll have better and less expensive care with a single payer system.

Hello Joyce,

The Labor Campaign for Single Payer supports state campaigns to de-privatize Medicaid, as a stepping stone towards building our public health infrastructure on the pathway to Medicare for All. Our allies at Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) are holding a webinar on this topic in just one week:

From their materials: “PNHP has been committed to exposing and opposing the privatization of Medicare as a key element of our strategy to win single payer. We are now broadening our deprivatization drive to embrace Medicaid, where the same problems are even more striking and dangerous than they are in Medicare.

It’s the same culprit corporations, the same fight, and the same road towards our goal—but one big difference is that we can attack this piece of privatization at the state level right now, which is particularly useful with so much federal dysfunction these days.

PNHP’s new report exposes the problems with Medicaid Managed Care, projects potential savings for each individual state when they deprivatize Medicaid, and offers strategic and legislative guidance.”
