http://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/23/opinion/fourteenth-amendment-debt-ceiling.html The 14th Amendment, added to the Constitution in the wake of the Civil War, has been back in the news of late, mostly because the Supreme Court has taken aim at past decisions, notably Roe v. Wade, that employed it to protect Americans’ liberties. The amendment remains the most significant addition to the Constitution … More TheVoiceOfJoyce The 14 th Amendment to the Constitution has many protections, including the right to pay our bills. If Congress fails to uphold the Government’s Constitutional right to pay our Bills, the President must act. The 14 th Amendment, section 4, is very clear. It may also be a cure all for lifting egregious voter restrictions under Section 2 and should be used to remove all legislators, police, military, lawyers and a former President, who sought to overturn the 2020 election and participated in the 1/6/21 Insurrection.

First, Kanye West and now, Kyrie Irving, are blatantly anti semitic. Their lies lead to real violence. The FBI has New Jersey synagogues on high alert, due to credible bomb threats. Hate words kill. There ought to be a Law banning hate speech and making it a crime. It is a crime against people and groups and does become violent. Anti semitism, anti Asian, anti black, the list continues. Stop the hatred. Kanye West has been fined and he’s digging deeper by purchasing an alt right social media site? Kyrie Irving has been suspended from the Nets? Will he too, dig in his heels and spew more hate? In 7 years, civil discourse has been replaced by hate speech, misinformation, disinformation, conspiracy theories, violence and abuse? Is this the America the majority wants? If no, stand up to the perpetrators and if they’re in public office, vote them out this midterm. Vote Dem2022 and Independent 2022 and bring our country back to civility, the rule of Law and Democracy. We can vote for a better way of life.

They are destroying Ukrainian history, by destroying their monuments. They are deporting the people of Kherson to Russian territory on the pretext of saving their lives. Iranian Kamikaze drones are being used to destroy Ukrainians infrastructure. 100,000 without power before a brutal winter. The battle for control of Kherson will take place shortly. The Ukrainian counteroffensive is proceeding. Belarus seems to be mobilizing to help the Russians in Ukraine. And an Apple app that broadcasts advocacy in Russia for the Ukrainian people is back on line. Every effort to stop the Ukrainian Genocide must be taken. Ukraine’s Counteroffensive can’t fail, nor can muscular diplomacy. Day 238 and more devastation before this unjust War ends. Putin rewrote history in order to invade Ukraine and justify Genocide.
http://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/oct/17/fauci-interview-long-covid-risk-emergency-response-coronavirus The cold fact that Covid-19 still kills 400 people a day in the US catches public attention more acutely than estimates of the millions suffering from long Covid, Fauci added. “People say, well, what does that mean? It’s not very concrete. And yet for the individual patient, it could be debilitating.” The World Health … More TheVoiceOfJoyce Actually, based on my personal observations and my community, no one seems to care that 400 people a day are still dying from Covid. Unvaccinated Republicans, who are older, are 70% more likely to die of Covid. That’s someone’s grandma or grandpa! In addition, between 7.5 to 23 million Americans may have long Covid, suffering with fatigue, breathlessness, or cognitive dysfunction. More than 1 million are thought to be out of the workplace, losing $50 billion in wages. We may be through with Covid, Covid is not through with us. Ask the Europeans, Covid variants are on the rise. They come here later this season. Get your booster for the Ba 4 &5 variants, only 5% of the population has gotten their jab. Make a plan and get Vaccinated.

Since the committee began hosting prime-time hearings in June, the nonprofit Advance Democracy has identified a tide of vitriol targeting key witnesses and prominent Jan. 6 committee … More TheVoiceOfJoyce Why isn’t online encouragement of violence and harassment prosecuted? Why should members of Congress, the January 6 Committee or other members of Federal or State Legislatures be the target of violence and harassment, on known Social Media Platforms and platforms used by the alt right and the Trump organization? Corporations are now self regulating. All corporations. There were Laws in place giving the DEA the power to prosecute and follow the money in Opioid distribution. Those Laws were overturned by the Marino Law, named for the Republican sponsoring this Law. Now the Law states, if a Corporation says, they had no intention of addicting others, they can’t be prosecuted. Self regulation brought America an Opioid problem, resulting in 100,000 deaths a year. Peoples lives can be saved by Regulating an industry. There is no difference between a “ brick and mortar corporation” and an online Platform. They all require Regulation. Change Section 230 of the Communication Decency Act and eliminate violent and abusive platforms. There are 300 million + guns in our Country, what’s said on Social Media and online platforms, doesn’t stay virtual!
