Hi Joyce,
It can be hard sometimes to remember that we are the majority.
When the news is swamped with extremists describing an America we don’t even recognize. When we see MAGA signs in people’s yards. When we scroll social media.
But we are in the majority, and none of us are alone. That’s why I’m going to a No Kings Day event in a town near me that Donald Trump won on Saturday.
There are more than 2,500 protests planned in every single state this weekend. More than 5 million people came to the No Kings events in June, and organizers are expecting even more this weekend.
I could go to the massive event that will be held in my state’s capitol, but instead, I want to be in a town Trump won so I can stand in solidarity with that community and help remind them that no one is alone, anywhere. Especially since, just yesterday, Trump said, “I hear very few people are gonna be there.”
We are going to prove him verywrong.
I want to talk to people who feel, like I do, that extremism has no place here and no one is above the law – we have No Kings in America. I want to talk to people who are as frustrated as I am with how our public schools are being defunded and our immigrant communities are being harassed. I want to talk to people who have a better vision for our towns, our states, and our country.
And if you’re attending a No Kings event and want to talk to your neighbors, you can represent Red Wine & Blue!
You can wear a Red Wine & Blue t-shirt if you have one, and you can upload photos that you take to the RWB App (look out for a post from our moderators).
We also have some information for you to share! We’ve been diligently keeping up our Project 2025 Tracker to show how the extremist plan is being implemented. You can let people know how extremism is on the rise and we can stop it by voting. You can have your fellow No Kings attendees scan the QR code and check out the tracker themselves!
Whether you attend a No Kings protest or not this weekend (you can find one here), we know you’re in the majority with us, and that means the world.
With love and hope,
Katie
