TheVoiceOfJoyce Resources for people who have lost SNAP benefits in NYC.

The Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Center at NYU posts these food resources for our NYC Communities.

Dear Friends,

Last week, BWLC executive director Jennifer Weiss-Wolf wrote her weekly column about the impending uncertainty for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), and the predominant impact on women and children among the more than 40 million Americans who currently rely upon it for food security.

As the fate of federal funding for SNAP remains unclear, we want to amplify and share NYC resources that may be of service to you or anyone in your community:

As Jen reminds us, “this is not how a healthy democracy functions.” A true healthy democracy nourishes its citizens and bolsters safety nets in our communities, especially in times of crisis. It is more important than ever that all of us hold each other close and keep our fellow New Yorkers safe.

All our best,
The Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Center Team
