TheVoiceOfJoyce If you want to stand in solidarity with Minneapolis and send a message to Corporations complicit with the Trump regime. Join this Nationwide coalition on Monday afternoon and learn how to be an effective advocate for positive change. We don’t want expensive healthcare and we don’t want ICE & DHS to get $170 Billion to be used against us. We’re not the enemy. Take action for a budget we can live with and Immigration reforms that make sense! Call your Congressional representatives, we want ICE OUT FOR GOOD! Thank you for your support.

joyce,

You have probably seen, the day after the people of Minneapolis’ historic protests, federal agents occupying their city shot and killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old VA ICU nurse and AFGE member, after he stepped between ICE and a woman they had shoved to the ground.

His last words were “Are you okay?”

Locals there are calling on the country to protest with them – to cut corporate enablers’ support of this regime and demand Senators cut funding for ICE in a vote they may take as early as this coming week. Today, people are taking action in Minneapolis all across the country to defend working families and demand #ICEOutforGood.

Tomorrow, national organizations are holding an educational training how to participate in non-violent action that meets this moment as corporations continue to back this regime and Senators are poised to vote on whether or not to give the Department of Homeland Security even more of the money that should be going to our schools, healthcare, and to make life more affordable again. Make sure you’re all trained up.

We cannot wait and hope these federal occupations of our cities end on their own. We cannot wait for the federal government to right itself. The only thing that keeps our communities safe is people organizing together, building power, and forcing change through collective action. We need to move together strong and united.

History shows that sustained, nonviolent action is what effectively meets this moment and that it requires training to do so safely and strategically.

Join us Monday, Jan. 26 for a National Training Day – learn how to take collective action safely and strategically. Groups will offer multiple nonviolent direct action trainings throughout the day and evening nationwide.

Get Trained Virtually & Be Prepared Locally

We keep each other safe by organizing together and we have seen solidarity in action from Los Angeles, to Chicago, to Portland, to Charlotte, to New Orleans, and now Minneapolis – we will not back down. Now is the time to start moving into action and prepare

It’s time for all of us to come in and protect our neighbors and our freedoms.

In Hope & Solidarity,

May Day Strong
