We were told we’d have lower food prices and we’re not seeing them at the grocery store. In fact, when I can purchase all the items on my list , they’re 30% higher. Recently, many items requested aren’t available. Trump’s chaotic policies: tariffs and Wars are effecting our ability to manage household expenses. Why don’t the Economists understand?
Paul Krugman is trying to explain that the actual index doesn’t justify our sour mood on consumer prices. When you have a limited budget, increases in spending for necessities hurts. We have a right to be concerned. With Trump’s policies, it’s unlikely prices will go down.
