TheVoiceOfJoyce What do you think, is Jeff Bezos the Worst Robber Baron of them all? Conspicuous consumption, high prices for items purchased and a total disregard for Labor. People have died at Amazon warehouses and other workers are forced to work and ignore a fellow co worker? Cruel, inhumane and a Trump sycophant, I’ve cancelled my subscription to the Washington Post, too. After 300 of their best journalists were laid off. Now, I’ve learned most of these Billionaires follow an Economist, Nordhous, who says, it doesn’t matter if the Climate continues to get hotter with Fossil Fuel use and millions die. The Billionaires support Trump and EPA’s wacky policies for short term gains. I guess they think, they’ll be off earth or holed up in Trump’s bunker, while the rest of us perish? We are living in interesting times!

Is Jeff Bezos the worst Robber Baron. He’s raising prices while Americans are being laid off. He fires workers, if they want to unionize and employees die on the job and aren’t removed from their site till convenient? All these incidents and no punishment because he gives big bucks to Trump. There are no laws for Trump’s cronies.

TheVoiceOfJoyce Are you wondering how high the price of oil would be, if the Straits of Hormuz remained closed for months? Krugman and the IMF wonder and see recession. I wonder and see an opportunity for alternative fuels , infrastructure and farming and pharmaceuticals that don’t use petroleum products. We’d have a healthier and more productive world. Perhaps we should assume the worse, take away Fossil Fuel subsidies, tax Fossil Fuel windfall profits and start to innovate new energy sources and products that are less toxic. It can be done. ArcTeryx is eliminating PFAS from their clothing! It’s a beginning.

Since the 1970’s we’ve been warned against our reliance on Fossil Fuels. Paul Krugman and the IMF are concerned about the Straits of Hormuz being closed and causing a Global Recession. I say, think opportunity, and start utilizing and funding alternative energy sources and products. Stop our dependency and live healthy.
