TheVoiceOfJoyce There is a need for well trained Police. Start with retraining, add Salary increases, add liaisons with approved counselors to resolve domestic violence, abuse & drug issues. Finally, pass the Hobs Act & the Infrastructure bills to relieve economic stress . Tackle increased Homicides ! Background checks, Ban on assault weapons, etc. The last problem solver is a Federal Law on who owns a weapon, national Registry, automated, and which guns are allowed in the civilian population. All sides deserve pay with dignity and a return to mutual respect. We need an active Police Force who the Public and the Policy makers support!

TheVoiceOfJoyce What do the jobs #’s really mean? Who is getting work and who isn’t. It’s clear young people in their 20’s & 30’s are not entering the job market. Information Technology is lagging and millions are still out of work. We need the Infrastructure and the American Families Act now to stimulate our economy and improve productivity and our way of life!

TheVoiceOfJoyce No wonder today’s GOP doesn’t want History to reflect America’s racist past, in many Southern & TrumpsGOP controlled States, they are racist in their response to unemployment benefits. They look upon benefits as a deterrent to work. African Americans get much less than the white population and now they want to cut out benefits that should have extended through September. Raising wages helps everyone. Increased wages equals increased productivity & less inflation. Realistically, until the Jobs act and For the Families Act, child care and many unemployment benefits haven’t reached long term unemployed or workers in the Gig economy. There will be a lag in employment until people experience relief from economic pain and experience the benefits of child care allowances and resumption of schooling. What we’re-seeing is temporary. Be patient and work with your constituents.

TheVoiceOfJoyce Just inTime inventory has left the World with shortages in many products and inflation. I came from manufacturing in the 70’s , we had just in time deliveries & we anticipated our needs. During the great proposed tire shortage, Ford stockpiled 5000 ties. Yes, you plan and just like you read a room, why was there a failure in thinking and planning for what happens as the Pandemic ends? We still need to stockpile PPE’s. There will be other Pandemics. If we’re to return to work, we need the Jobs Act and the For the Families Act to pass. Note: Inflation temporary, jobs at decent wages must await!

What is Work like? For Front line workers, our kids and grandchildren, it’s difficult. They’re experiencing Culture Change that promotes Burnout, employee abuse and a lack of loyalty, along with decreased productivity. No one has time to form families and we say, “We “ revere families. If so, we need Fundamental Change, in our Labor … More TheVoiceOfJoyce: YouTube Tuesday Episode #83 Work? Listen, Comment & Subscribe!

TheVoiceOfJoyce Politics Affects Us! Did Corn Lobbyists write the GOP Legislation favoring the use of ethanol coated corn? The day of reckoning arrived and towns across Nebraska and elsewhere in America are suffering with the toxic run off , pollution, & health problems. Clean up will take years. Are The products part of the ground water? Now that we’re aware, we can solve problems to prevent damage to future generations. Plant Solar and wind farms and give the land a rest. Might be a partial solution?

More electric buses & cars plus rail between cities reducing the need fir airlines unless trip is 500+ miles or international. Every flight, emits the CO2 trapped by 25 trees! Think Green

TheVoiceOfJoyce This is great for our Country. Millions travel between Nyc and NJ daily. Our tunnels are dangerous and in need of repairs. They’re 110 yrs old. We support Infrastructure projects as engines of change. Generating jobs. It would be great , if large cities were smart cities too! Using computers to Navigate our streets and reduce stress.

TheVoiceOfJoyce Work with dignity. That’s how it was in the 70’s & until the Legislation was changed under George Bush, favoring Corporate Power over People Power. Fundamental Change in the laws of the Land must occur. The NLRB has to revert back to FDR , when workers were paid a minimum wage & had bargaining power.

TheVoiceOfJoyce The Colonial pipeline hacking creates a state of emergency for the entire East Coast. There are no contingency plans , no alternate suppliers. This is an opportunity to add skilled IT to all critical infrastructure and decentralized & decoupling significant sources of energy. Monopolies don’t work. Especially, monopolies who never plan for worst case scenarios. In a World with AI intelligence, individuals & Nation states able to disrupt our services , we need to be equally as smart, accountable and transparent to government, employees & citizen oversight.
