TheVoiceOfJoyce Paul Krugman, the economist, is concerned that there will be very few jobs created while pursuing AI and neglecting the rest of societal needs and growth. If we continue to pursue AI, we need few jobs after Data Center construction and very few people will have jobs. Trillions will be spent to create AI serving a few. If Americans can’t afford products, to live or healthcare, who is using AI? There must be balance. Americans need goods and services. We don’t need a Hyperscaled Gilded Age. We need clean air, clean water and a safe non toxic environment to live. The Trump administration isn’t providing this. Vote them out!

Paul Krugman examines the effects of AI expenditures on the economy and finds all other sector spending decreases along with job creation. Data centers, once built, require 50-100 people. If we want full employment at good wages we must invest in clean energy, education, healthcare, transportation and infrastructure, too!

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Food insecurity continues for the poor. Now it’s worse as people shelter in place, food must be delivered to them. Many have no cars and locally price gouging is increasing their misery. We have a food supply chain problem & it has to be remedied before people in America die of hunger. Just in time thinking, doesn’t help the people. Remember, this will happen again & all people should be food secure, healthy& educated! Where’s Mississippi’s Governor ? Mayors need assistance & resources to be effective.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce 500,000 masks coming to NY & Seattle Monday. That’s a start. We can’t wait a year for more, we need the Defense Production Act, allowing other businesses like the Automotive Industry, to repurpose to make medical equipment in quantity. They have the manpower and the factories. Set them up and we decrease our need for time spent idle.

First there were decreases in the Snap program and now States can decrease Medicaid rolls. Don’t despair, vote overwhelmingly to remove GOP out of office. Show them your vote counts.

It’s time to look wholisticly at the problem & provide safe spaces for kids while parents work, including food, shelter & counseling. Invest in our kids & measure their outcomes.
