TheVoiceOfJoyce The Pandemic ushered in the 2 nd gilded age for a few. The top 1% now own 2/3 rds of global wealth. Almost every Nation has tax cuts for the rich and large Corporations. They’ve accumulated $23Trillion in wealth. For the poor and Middle Class to survive, the wealthy must be taxed. There are several ways to tax them equitably: in America, take the cap off income and have everyone contribute to FICA ( 12.4%) , add a wealth tax of 2-5%, convert fee income to income and tax it with a graduated tax, tax derivatives 6% and reclaim a $Trillion in revenue. Increase the IRS auditing staff to increase IRS auditing of tax evaders. We’d have to revisit the Legislation vetoed by this Republican Congress. Why be supplanted by the super rich and employees earning zero dollars! Legislate a level playing field and a chance to climb out of poverty.
