The investors get to keep the cash. It’s a win for the buyout firm and a lose lose for Society. The original customers and the employees will be left with nothing. There ought to be a Law prohibiting these entities from destroying good businesses and neighborhoods. Equity is also setting their sights on McClatchy newspapers? Shame. For profit institutions remain understaffed and because of their low wages it is difficult to attract more employees . A major commitment by both houses of Congress is needed to help all citizens obtain proper care. When treating patients or working with the homeless or the incarcerated, for profit doesn’t work.
