AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Covid 19 is a wake up call for a continuous funding of our Healthcare systems. Hospitals will require upgrading ICU’s, we’ll need scientific teams to monitor Pandemics, create biological Playforms globally for vaccines and medication. There will be increased pressure on Governments to share information to protect all of us. Americans need paid sick leave for 2 weeks. That’s a priority. There are more. QE for Middle & Lower Classes. Stimulate the entire economy.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce A worthy decision to close schools as students enter spring break has created unnecessary trauma. Rightfully so, the kids have many questions and the administration dropped what felt like a bomb on them. Think, the kids are still studying for midterms, the earliest many can leave in Saturday evening for a few days for a change of scenery. Than foreign students, kids who can’t afford to leave, those on research projects or with other responsibilities must return to the campus. Hopefully, after the trauma, they’ll adjust to a decreased less dense population and be able to continue their studies and other programs of necessity. Since I have a grandson in the Suny system, I listened to his concerns and since I’m able, I will lessen his stress by sending him “happiness packages “ of food, enabling him to better set his own hours of going out. The administration should recognize they have added stress to students lives without answering all their questions and without giving them support. That is no way to treat People.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce My Opinion on Cash bail out to the Middle Class has been echoed by Furman of the Wall Street Journal. Cash is stimulus. Loosening food stamps, unemployment insurance and Expanding Medicaid in all States would be a help too! This is our 1 st Pandemic, it won’t be our last. We’ll need Government policies to maintain business & the stock market!

When a recruiter from Oklahoma Christian University asks 11 th graders in Oklahoma to line up according to skin and hair types, he was reported and , I hope, fired. Inappropriate hurtful behavior is never right. Nor is disseminating fake news. Call it out and help the larger Community. We have an obligation to insist on civil behavior & the Truth, no matter who tells the Lie!

We deserve clean air & water, good education, affordable healthcare and housing, stimulus in times of need for Main Street
