The NYT expose on the Supreme Court’s shadow docket. It’s been used to strike down environmental protections, women’s healthcare & abortion rights and now the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Our Supreme Court no longer deliberates cases and transparency is gone.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Too bad 6 Justice’s believe the rights of States supersedes the Rights of an Individual. Overturning precedents that would allow a wrongly convicted person no recourse under the Law is cruel and a crime against Humanity! As we’ve seen Local and State Laws and Justice are fallible. Many have wrongfully been incarcerated and executed for crimes they didn’t commit and now the Supreme Court takes away the innocent person’s right to freedom by silencing with new evidence ? Are we a Constitutional Democracy or a group of loosely held together authoritarian fiefdoms? What has happened to the Rights of the Federal Government? What has happened to the Rights of We the People? The ultra conservative wing of the GOP, does not represent the will of the Majority. Vote for their continuance at your peril.

TheVoiceOfJoyce No wonder today’s GOP doesn’t want History to reflect America’s racist past, in many Southern & TrumpsGOP controlled States, they are racist in their response to unemployment benefits. They look upon benefits as a deterrent to work. African Americans get much less than the white population and now they want to cut out benefits that should have extended through September. Raising wages helps everyone. Increased wages equals increased productivity & less inflation. Realistically, until the Jobs act and For the Families Act, child care and many unemployment benefits haven’t reached long term unemployed or workers in the Gig economy. There will be a lag in employment until people experience relief from economic pain and experience the benefits of child care allowances and resumption of schooling. What we’re-seeing is temporary. Be patient and work with your constituents.

It was the formation of anOrchestra, consisting of equal numbers of Israeli & Palestinian musicians who join together, learn to talk to each other, see each and make beautiful music together. The Palestinians can do the same today. Reframe their dialogue with Israelis & seek a meaningful peace and prosperity for the Palestinian people. Brett Stephens has a point.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce voting systems are not secure yet. 20%of voting machines have Chinese parts. 50 States were hacked by Russians, 66% of all machines come from Russia or China with info going back to those Countries. Where are American machines with Paper trails. Or why not eskew using machines and use paper ballots for the next election verified by independent citizen groups?
