AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce, Republicans headed by Tom Cruz are challenging the Student Loan forgiveness program, that provides relief for Pell Grants of $20,000 & $10,000 for all students earning less than $125,000 a yr. This is a popular program and well deserved relief for the kids heavily burdened. Why is the GOP trying to sue this administration and on who’s behalf? The lenders? Institutions of higher learning are beginning to acknowledge that their tuition is too high for most applicants and their offering higher grant relief. Fighting relief for kids, only solidifies the notion, this Republican Party is pro business & pro profit only and the People be damned!

Meanwhile, supporters of debt forgiveness are also working on challenging the political threat to the plan as Republicans have also sought to make the program a key talking point during the upcoming midterm elections.

The plan, which includes the forgiveness of federal student loans of up to $20,000 for Pell grant recipients and up to $10,000 for all others, with some exceptions, will provide a substantial amount of relief for the millions of Americans encumbered with student loan debt.

Those ineligible for student debt cancellation include individuals who make over the income limit of $125,000 annually, for example.
