There are several hot button issues to debate and one the GOP refuses to discuss. Immigration Reform is now left to the President. He has limited powers to control who enters our Country and must use them now. He has to curb who seeks asylum, who get here under “Parole” conditions and who overstays their Visas.
The President has to act. Immigration is overwhelming our States and we’re not absorbing them into our workforce.
On the plus side, immigrants working in this Country for years should be treated as citizens and put on a path to citizenship. Don’t they deserve decent pay and benefits?
Our next challenge for our Dysfunctional GOP is a stand alone Foreign Aid Package for The Ukraine and Israel. Keeping two Democracies afloat is reason enough. Why aid our authoritarian enemies, Iran & Russia?
Evidently, the GOP can get excited about loss of new liquid gas permitting. That hurts their pocket books directly. No matter, we’re reaching 1.5 degrees Celsius and atmospheric rivers are inundating California or 2/3 of South America is battling forest fires.
