It’s hard to understand Democracy, so I’ll explain what goods and services we lose, when we pursue Authoritarianism .
When you study the Constitution, Article 1 states the awesome and numerous duties of the Congress. They levy taxes, create legislation, tariffs, establish agencies to regulate Healthcare, Education, National Security, etc. They can remove fellow legislators for cause. Impeach Presidents, judges and Supreme Court Justices.
Article 2 of the Constitution creates the Presidency. There’s not much power invested in this office. They can refuse to spend some allocated funds, they negotiate treaties, enforce the Laws of the Land and give out Pardons. https://youtu.be/ebCUAcAEXOU
