AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Finally there is a reverse of Corporate Business taxation. Corporations have many loopholes to evade taxation overseas and in fact, limiting Corporations taxation overseas encouraged the off shoring of business and jobs. Corporations with subsidies overseas pay 5% on their income to the US Treasury. The American taxpayer is in a lose lose position now. First we lost jobs with every trade agreement, then we lost jobs when Corporations moved overseas and we lost wages when American workers were told to compete with foreign labor. Now, just like individuals who are taxed twice on income invested, the American Corporations are asked to pay their fair share and bring business back home, they’re crying that what’s already happened will happen again? Why should American business not share equally in taxation as the rest of us? America needs revenue to run . Next the Federal Government should tax all Corporate income for FICA deduction irrespective of income level. Every employee of a Corporation should pay the FICA deduction, independent of salary level. Everyone should pay their fair share. It’s patriotic!

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Amazon’s Bezos pledges to change how Labor is treated or will be responsible for running out of Labor in 2 years. Poor working conditions, cause excessive accidents and burnout in Amazon warehouses, leading to 150% turnover and 6.8 accidents per 100 people. The norm is 3.3 accidents per 100 people. Still high. No wonder today’s workers are distressed in retail. We’re people and not Robots. Perhaps the new generation of Moguls ought to study successful businesses of the past to model new business? People are not machines and need tools to do their jobs. There can be decent working conditions, benefits & safety with productivity! Bring back Sectional Unionization and allow Unions to negotiate for all Retail Labor. Strengthen Labor Laws at the NLRB and enforce existing Law. Add a fair minimum wage Federally.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Last week citizens demonstrated for health benefits and services. At the end of June, the Rail Workers will strike for higher pay & benefits. Like the Court defense barristers intending to strike, assistant make 31,000 pounds. Not enough to live on with rising inflation. Teachers may strike next. Inflation is Global and not sustainable, using high interest rates to curb it can’t be our only tool. The poor and middle Class need equal treatment to Corporations. The poor and middle Class didn’t cause inflation and haven’t benefited over the last decade.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce The new norm in Climate heating has Catastrophic consequences. Both poles are heating simultaneously, the Planet is heating up from America’s West, Mid West to the South and Spain is too hot as well, then there’s India! Along the route of these massive heat waves living is intolerable, theirs loss of power, loss of water, productivity is down, in India , 15-35% of their wheat is destroyed, if you’re outdoors you can’t work, if you’re at school you can’t learn, if you’re a fragile bird, you’ll die. Many are dying in this heat. Our Global temperature has risen 1.2 degrees Celsius. This is a man made problem. Fossil Fuels are causing the Carbon and Methane Emissions that heat our Planet by depleting our ability to block the Sunlight. Urbanization exacerbates our heating problem. We need more green spaces to live and a plan to end our dependence on Fossil Fuels!

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Apple employees in Towson Maryland vote for Unionization. They will be under the Aerospace, et al umbrella. Their agreement will be approved by the NLRB. Before the Laws to Unionize were changed , no group wishing to be Unionized could be intimidated by management. Nor would every separate entity within a Corporation have to establish their right to Unionize, every store would fall under the same Union umbrella.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Maui during the Pandemic suffered a loss in tourism & food insufficiency. One a fertile land with Biodiversity, Big Agra ( Bayer & Monsanto) have destroyed the land with pesticides. The indigenous people are reclaiming their land several acres at a time. The colonists destroyed the land with monocultures, while Maui grew ,before Colonialism, a rich diversity of fruits and vegetables, under a giant canopy of products. Their land was rich and their rain forests thriving. Hawaii can be food sufficient again and Hawaiians healthier with their Native Diet.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Fires intensify across Arizona & California. There was an out of control fire in New Mexico. The pace of Climate crises is accelerating, here and globally. While we’re still able to Mitigate our energy policies, it’s priority, we do so. We need replacement of Fossil Fuels now and the technology for our survival now! There should be a War Production Act to develop & use Solar, hydrogen & nuclear power! Upgrading our electric grid is a necessity.
