TheVoiceOfJoyce The great Salt Lake is due to evaporate in 5 years, unless water is allowed to flow into the lake unimpeded for the next 3 years. To save the lake, only 30-50% of the water can be utilized. This will create problems for the existing community. However, if the Utah community takes no action the Great Salt Lake will dry up and make mineral extractions impossible, the toxic dust will cause dire health problems and the fish and shrimp associated with the area , along with other bio diversity will disappear. Why waste a Natural Resource when you can reallocate water use? The communities survival depends on change.

Not only will water reserves dry up, flooding will occur as well. The scenario is occurring as we fail to halt our rise in emissions and global temperatures. All over Europe, ski slopes are barren and there’s been a 10 degree rise in Celsius. With balmy weather, gas prices are down, inflation is down and the continents water supply is at risk. As a species, we can’t do nothing, we must change to survive.
