Wake up Congress this is how ” we the people” view you and the upper 1%. Not a pretty picture, as we beg for scraps. But no more. We the people are looking for real solutions, we proposed our ” game plan” and we’d like you to respond and start a dialogue with US.
At first, when I described my thoughts to the illustrator, I thought, the image might be too harsh. However, after attending New York Ideas at The New York Historical society, I don’t think the image projects the truth. If “we the people ” are getting any scraps at all, it’s not purposeful, it’s simply serendipitous . The upper classes do not acknowledge the needs of ” we the people”, or The Middle Class. There are many rationales for the existence or lack of existence of the Middle Class, but they have no relevance to the truth.
They can wish The Middle Class never existed. We exist. We are taking the crumbs for now,but not for long. We understand our reality and we want this illustration to cease being our plight. With the help of several members of Congress, perhaps the ” bad dream” that has persisted since the 70’s will be reversed. We dare to hope, that with your help. ” we the people”, will have a chance to live again and prosper. I thank you all in advance for your commitment to US and the sustainability of our Country.
I represent a Community of 42,800 + folks , and growing, predominantly American and we’d like to start a dialogue with you on Reinstatement of Laws within your control. On one page, We’d like an outline of the proposed legislation. It’s goal and the steps required by our community to insure it’s passage. The dialog between Congress and “we the representatives of the People”, is essential. It is the first step in Citizen engagement, independent of Party ideology. This is about right. and wrong, it’s not about Party. We are in need of Solutions, tell us what you’ve proposed and how we can help each other move our Country forward.
