We have a dysfunctional society with many vested interests. For the middle class to be resurrected, ” we the people” need a simple platform and simple programs that we recommend. I believe it’s all about the economy.
It’s always about “the money”! Folks talk about Congress and government being too large. Get rid of the money influence and you ll have a “”Goldilocks” functional government”. Have you read the news today? Bipartisanship is modifying medicare by decreasing payments to health care providers and disability recipients. Yet, we the people weren’t asked our opinions? The implementation of safety standards for rail cars has been postponed till 2018? The list is long on what ails us and short on real news that may effect our daily lives positively, Too bad, at this rate we the people may never see fiscal or tax reform.
As another example of “piece meal” legislation, derivatives , instead of being taxed, will require capital set asides. When? Not sure. It may change the culture, it may curtail risk, but a tax on them is a win win for the Country and the Middle Class.
Be mindful of candidates who speak with conviction and passion, you have to listen carefully, when “truthiness” trumps truth, since the news is “mostly” entertainment. “just saying”.
