With 99% of votes counted, Silva, a former factory worker who became Brazil’s first working-class president exactly 20 years ago, had secured 50.8% of the vote. Bolsonaro, a firebrand who was elected in 2018, received 49.1%.

TheVoiceOfJoyce Why are scientists wasting time studying a person’s body weight in order to conclude there’s a correlation between body weight and our Carbon footprint. It’s absurd. Rather then weaponizing peoples food choices and body types, scientific time would be better spent devising methodologies to remove toxins from our water and food and creating a substitute for King Corn. Marginalized people, people requiring inexpensive food, need nutritious food not cheap processed food laced with non nutritious ingredients. Give poor people and the middle classes inexpensive vegetables and fruits and they’ll change their diet. Meanwhile, fight climate change on a large scale, focus on agriculture and bringing back heritage grains.

TheVoiceOfJoyce Putin’s aim is the total destruction of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Barrages of missiles disabled energy power and water. Hydroelectric dams were struck. The planes, carrying missiles were within Russian territory. Clearly, Zelensky needs air defenses to combat these missiles. It’s hard to offer a counteroffensive when troops on the ground may literally be putting out fires. However, the counteroffensive must be working better than planned with thin Russian coverage, otherwise, why the distractions? In a separate move, Russia is blockading ships loaded with grain. Why isn’t the whole world protesting Russian aggression? Everyone talks about the horrors of Genocide, who’s stopping Putin?
