The counteroffensive offensive by Ukrainians continues. Russia has left Kherson, mining the entire city or leaving booby traps for the incoming Ukrainian troops. No celebration yet. Whole teams will be required to carefully remove all the explosives left for Ukrainians. The Russians intended a city of death. Why did Putin cede the field? He wanted to save his troops and his own skin. Another bloody loss , may not have been tolerated. This way, in retreat, he hoped to be victorious. We should all look forward to the day when the Ukrainian flag flys over Kherson.
Meanwhile, because this War has pushed country’s into an energy crises, Governments seek alternatives, if we continue to mine coal and gas, our Planet will warm over 1.5 degrees Celsius. This must be avoided at all costs.

A senior Ukrainian official has warned that Russian forces are booby-trapping the city of Kherson, accusing them of trying to turn it into a “city of death”.
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head office of Ukraine’s president, tweeted that Russia “wants to turn Kherson into a ‘city of death’”,
He claimed that the Russian military “mines everything they can: apartments, sewers”, and that “artillery on the left bank” of the Dnieper River “plans to turn the city into ruins”.
He said that the Russian forces deployed to Kherson city “came, robbed, celebrated, killed ‘witnesses’, left ruins and left”..
