AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Hunger and food insecurity in America is on the rise with homelessness and yet, only the Democratic candidates in Ohio are addressing this issue. Since the Pandemic, food insecurity has risen. I personally have friends who work to service the food insecure at food pantries. When asked, many using the Pantries say, they won’t vote? I say, why not vote for a Democrat who you know stands with you on Societal issues. This year, and every year, with Trumps GOP in power, minority representation in Congress , is being eliminated. Will those needing assistance, continue to vote against yourself interests, or will you vote Democrat and preserve and increase your rights to food, healthcare, WI-FI, and schools, for you and your children? If Corporations were humane, gave a living wage, increased cost of living pay, gave healthcare and paid sick day and provided a safe work place, we wouldn’t need to Unionize every industry in our Country. However, American Corporations only think of their profit margins and people, employees, are dispensable. Not any more. We the People, don’t have to be treated poorly or intimidated. Document abusive behavior toward you. Take photos of your work place, keep records and when you can vote Union, do it. A stronger NLRB would encourage sectoral Unions, one shop or warehouse unionizes, they’re allUnionized. No need for separate voting. Take away monopolies power and vote Union to increase your wage, benefits and safety.

Residents are being told to remain indoors to avoid inhaling pollutants. The Tour de Lake Tahoe, an annual 72 mile bike ride around Lake Tahoe has been canceled for Sunday. The smoke has travelled to Vancouver , Canada and deemed unsafe to breathe. Folks working on a Canadian pipeline had to remain indoors. Fires now carry dangerous levels of smoke and pollutants to vast areas beyond their origination. Smoke plumes can be seen by satellites circling the Globe. In Utah’s campaign to be a destination state, they’re using too much water without conservation. It’s not to late to prevent severe water loss or death from Flash flooding. Educate your tourists before they enter the Park. Remove lawns and those wheel sprinklers and use arid planting and drip irrigation. The key to survival in the 21 st Century is recognizing water is a limiting factor in growth, tourism and population density. The larger towns will purchase water, maybe. The poorer towns and their people will have no water to survive. Do you care that you’re drinking water, while other citizens of Utah die from heat and a lack of water?

TheVoiceOfJoyce Mapping heat deserts in NYC, shows areas of intense heat in the South Bronx and other poor areas of NYC. it can be 8 degrees warmer in these areas, then other areas of the City. In heat deserts, there is no shade and 370 people die annually from the heat. Why can’t we provide an alternative energy source to poor people, heat pumps, air conditioning and plant trees? When and how can all the people be recognized, seen and helped to survive? Can the City or a non profit help save poor lives? This year is predicted to be the coolest of the next few years. We’ve been warned!

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Weather is causing severe heat in the Southwest and West. Death Valley to reach 126 degrees Fahrenheit. Georgia sees flash flooding and the East is getting rain. There is a climate emergency. We made it, we can fix it. If 150, 000 still live in Jackson Mississippi, they need water. Army Corps of Engineers? It’s not acceptable to say , they’ll experience worse. In NYC , NYCHA housing in the East Village have arsenic in their water. I wonder, how long has the arsenic been there and are the surrounding areas effected? How are we removing the arsenic & when? Our infrastructure is crumbling and like industry years ago, there was no preventative maintenance. That’s unacceptable today, too many lives rely on clean water and clean air. Where are the funds to repair our Infrastructure for the 21 st Century?
