AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce California set to enact Age Appropriate Code on Social Media Platforms to protect kids under 18 from manipulative and addictive material. Also, tracking of kids isn’t allowed either and the user must be identified by age. Naysayers say this restricts anonymous browsing. That’s not true, all platforms carry our browsing history and sell it to 3 rd parties. That’s their business model. You can use Duck Duck Go for privacy concerns.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce The FTC is litigating Kochava a tracking agency/ broker . Kochava claims to have data on billions of devices and sells that data to individuals and companies, or anyone who pays for our private data. It’s abusive and requires regulation. The FTC was particularly interested in making our visits to healthcare facilities and Drs private. However, when polled the abuse of our private data is happening on a daily basis and should be curtailed. Even when platforms say they’re deleting your profile, they may not be deleting all the information they’ve collected. There are sub programs made of our movements, allowing Corporations to predict what we’ll purchase, how we’ll respond on loan applications, or on interviews. These predictions, an outcropping of our personal daily lives, have the ability to destroy our credit and our livelihood. Why should a private corporation have power over our lives? The FTC is right to litigate Kochava and develop rules to safeguard our privacy. Millions of lives are at risk. Violent acts can be committed against people, when our data is sold to the highest bidder.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Spain, Portugal, Italy & Greece are tackling forest fires and deforestation scientifically to bring back native trees, including organic almonds. To prevent deforestation, they’re collecting Fog water runoff to irrigate areas becoming deforested in the Canary Islands. Their other projects, adapted from the Dutch, cocoons seedlings that are fragile in their first year and directs fog water, 25 liters, to protected seedlings. The seedlings have a 60% survival rate. The work is promising and will be scaled up in the EU to overcome desertification. Using scientific methodology, we’re preventing extinction!

TheVoiceOfJoyce This will be one of many cases against Meta/Facebook and other Social Media platforms. When we agree to their terms, are we protecting our rights to privacy or are we signing our rights away. Facebook and the other media platforms make money from our data. They sell our data. That is their business model. Would we know what we read, when we signed, I agree? Do we want control over our data? I think we do. I don’t want to be targeted for goods and services relentlessly, do you? Nor do I want to be manipulated politically? Do you? Remember a 100,000 ads were targeted to Trump followers in 2016. If you watch those ads , it’s very possible, you’ll believe what you see. What if what you see is not truthful? Would you believe misinformation?

They create cultural silos and perpetuate misinformation and disinformation on issues that concern us, while destroying our Democracy and free choice. Every time we click or react to a product or subject, Meta makes money off of us. Everyone involved in Social Media hoards our data, earns enormous income and we, unwittingly have lost our privacy and liberty. You may think you’ve got free choice? That’s a Meta myth. Is this the agreement you made with Meta? In return for using Facebook and Instagram for free, I agree to being tracked across all of social media to provide information about myself, that can be used by anyone licensed by META?”We the People “have become Meta’s product and our data is sold to everyone Meta targets to pursue us! In a turn of events, QAnon has turned to asserting a Jewish cabal is causing World hunger, not the true source, Russia, by invading Ukrainian Ports! These malicious sites rhetoric perpetrate violence and death. Self regulation of Social Media doesn’t work. A National think tank, similar to the one in 1995, is necessary to shape policy to regulate major technologies. For the willing followers of misinformation, lies are magnified and become a dangerous reality. If people believe the West and Jews are to blame for 8 countries suffering food insecurity and inflation, the wrong people will be targeted for hatred and Putin will appear saint like. That’s why Lavrov, Putin’s emissary is in Africa now, distorting the truth , so Ukraine, not Russia, will be the target of African hatred. These sites serve no purpose other than to deceive and in extreme cases, murder the innocent. Misinformation and disinformation ( lies) have no place in Society. They exist to divide us. Why follow disinformation? Why condone misinformation? Why be a part of any conspiracy theory? Don’t facts mater? Fact: Russia has invaded Ukraine. Russia has blockaded Ukrainian ports . On July 22, 2022 the UN brokered a deal with Putin, Turkey and Ukraine to let grain leave the Port of Odessa for Sierra Leone today, other countries in Africa and Asia rely on Ukrainian grain! Madagascar, Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon, Eritrea, Armenia, Belarus, Turkey, received more than 70% of their wheat imports from Ukraine in 2021. To stabilize their nations, the grain from Ukraine must flow. Millions of Tonnes of grain are back logged because of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. The Ukrainian people have stored last years crop for shipment, this year’s crops are ready for harvesting and then the crops for next year must be planted. Russia is not only destroying Ukraine, Russia is destroying the entire Globe by failing to prevent food insecurity globally.

Our land is burning, our resources are dwindling, our food supply is imperiled because of Short term Corporate Greed.
