Today’s Candidate Highlight
For decades, Darrell Issa has felt untouchable. He is one of the richest men in Congress, a GOP kingmaker, and a professional obstructionist who thinks his seat is his personal property.
But look at the new district lines. Look at the panic coming out of his campaign. The tide has officially turned.
Thanks to the passage of Prop 50, the map has shifted beneath Issa’s feet. CA-48 is no longer a safe Republican haven. It is a statistical dead heat. The momentum is undeniable. We have the map, we have the energy, and for the first time, we have a candidate with the expertise to take him down.

- Grand Theft Auto (Twice): Issa was indicted two separate times for car theft. Once for allegedly stealing a Maserati in Cleveland, and another time for a shady scheme involving a “stolen” Mercedes.
- The Arson Suspicion: Weeks before his factory burned down, Issa increased his fire insurance policy by 462% and removed all the computer equipment. The insurance company was so suspicious of fraud they initially refused to pay out.
- Weapons Charges: He pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm after police found a pistol, tear gas, and ammunition in his glove box.
- Corruption in Congress: He secured $800,000 in taxpayer earmarks to widen a road right in front of a commercial property he owned.
He is the swamp. And for the first time, he is sinking.

This isn’t wishful thinking. The ground game in CA-48 has exploded.
Since Prop 50 leveled the playing field, voters who were previously silenced by gerrymandering are waking up. We are seeing a massive groundswell of support for Riker. Small-dollar donations are pouring in, volunteer shifts are full, and independent analysts have moved this race to “Toss-Up.”
