AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce There is little doubt Climate Change is driven by an industrialized Society. It’s not clear what the impact of climate extremes; drought, floods, cyclones, has on people, poor and middle classes, agriculture, healthcare, productivity and infrastructure. There is a cost associated with Climate Extremes in human life and property!

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce I’m not surprised the Red Cross is refusing to pay their workers a fair wage, grant a new Union Contract, they’re a mean spirited profit driven group. The American Workers refuses to be abused and now walks off jobs that fails to pay and staff workers according to the consumers need. They’re won’t be resignations, when employers honor Union Contracts, have adequate staffing and pay and benefits.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce End Corporate extortion no subsidies unless American workers get to design and produce chips for the American market. Otherwise, Corporations belong to no Nation and are sovereign powers working for themselves. Like Exxon claiming they’re not a US Corporations & the follow policy beneficial to the US! Why give them subsidies? The American people need better wages and relief from Corporate Greed

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce American Journalist under surveillance in Florida for conducting a story on Florida Power and Light and their proposed acquisition of a smaller energy supplier. The journalist was followed and his social security number uncovered for purposes of intimidation. Are some States and entities above the Law and no longer value a free press in America? The Press’ Freedom is guaranteed by the 4 th amendment. Without free investigation there is no truth!

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Algorithm discriminated against individuals seeking to purchase a home using Facebook driven ads. It’s time to rein in AI, in most industries their built in biases make it impossible to hire people. They should be regulated and/ or removed when peoples livelihoods and lives depend on an honest assessment of them and their credentials and abilities. Algorithms are mathematical tools, they analyze data at best. They should be eliminated from HR decisions and other areas of our society. They’re a data aid to people and can’t make decisions.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Amazon’s Bezos pledges to change how Labor is treated or will be responsible for running out of Labor in 2 years. Poor working conditions, cause excessive accidents and burnout in Amazon warehouses, leading to 150% turnover and 6.8 accidents per 100 people. The norm is 3.3 accidents per 100 people. Still high. No wonder today’s workers are distressed in retail. We’re people and not Robots. Perhaps the new generation of Moguls ought to study successful businesses of the past to model new business? People are not machines and need tools to do their jobs. There can be decent working conditions, benefits & safety with productivity! Bring back Sectional Unionization and allow Unions to negotiate for all Retail Labor. Strengthen Labor Laws at the NLRB and enforce existing Law. Add a fair minimum wage Federally.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Vanuatu’s youth have formed an NGO to put questions before the International World Court and the UN General Assembly, asking for legally binding Law to curb Climate abuse that harms the righ to survival of the Pacific Islands and marginalized communities. They want a framework of Laws to hold Nations and Corporations accountable for sea level changes and a rise in heat. This new Law would be a model for future litigation to prevent the acceleration of harm to today’s youth and our Climate. Kudos. Litigation though long focuses attention on an issue that must be addressed for our survival.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce I find the Baby Formula crisis impossible to understand. Why hasn’t anyone been able to manufacture baby formula in America. We have makers of Power Drinks, Boost, other Pharmaceuticals, Baby food lines, etc. why is this 3-4 month ongoing problem not resolved on an emergency basis? Please explain!!

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Re instate new NLRB rules granting human rights to workers, all workers. Nobody should enter a danger zone without adequate protection, compensation and insurance benefits. If Corporations persist in Challenging labors right to clean water and bathrooms , consumers should stop drinking wines from Sonoma County. We like purchasing fair traded products. Then we know all people are treated humanely. Stop Corporate denigration of human rights. Reverse current Labor Laws!

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce After many generations, the residents of Cancer Alley, have won a Lawsuit against the EPA, requiring a change in standards for carcinogenic emissions. They’ve been awarded $75.6 million in damages and expect the EPA to set new standards for chloroprene, formaldehyde and other cancer forming toxins in the air. Deadline 2024 implementation! Why do we allow toxic chemicals near population centers? Why isn’t there a cap on their emissions? People safety trumps unabated Corporate Power.
