TheVoiceOfJoyce The Voting Rights bill may not preserve individual seats, it does preserve Democracy. Don’t think short term, these bills are the only way to allow majority voices to be heard. No more Gerrymandering, automatic registration, no more dark money in politics. It’s a fair system with no excuse absentee ballots, too. A holiday for voting. What’s not to love?

TheVoiceOfJoyce This is how Authoritarianism starts, with the Lawyers, FreedomWorks & Trump trying to suppress the votes in 8 States immediately, because they didn’t win. They’re cloaking Voter Suppression & Gerrymandering in Conservative ideology. That’s a rouse to conceal their agenda. Block all votes except theirs. We’re a Democracy. Our Democracy requires protection from ideology. Election Reforms nationwide will protect all Americans right to vote and allow our voices and our vote to count.

The People want fundamental change: Stimulus checks, child care, unemployment insurance benefits fir the long term unemployed, new job creation with Infrastructure. Go it alone , if necessary, and go big. We need millions employed. We need the entire population vaccinated. Access to retraining. We’re losing Healthcare physicians & front line workers to Covid burnout, while many refuse Vaccination. Corporations can insist on Vaccinations for a return to work. RapidTests are a start. If Biden wastes time on an uncooperative GOP, Americans will suffer!

TheVoiceOfJoyce When remembering FDR, remember he ask to include all people in the New Deal. He wanted to help the majority and he wouldn’t stop till they got what they needed. The WPA provided jobs for 15% of the population. He upheld Democracy, flawed as it was , as the best system of government. He developed the NLRB to to create Labor Laws that gave labor higher wages & bargaining power till they were progressively weakened under Reagan & Bush. We need those Laws today. Fundamental change!

Assure the buying public you won’t to contribute to any Legislator who supports Voter Suppression. 28 yrs of Republican control of of States has weakened our civil liberties & access to voting. It’s Enough! We woke and Gerrymandering of all types must end. We the People want fair and open elections, transparent Democracy and equal opportunity. TheVoiceOfJoyce Prison Gerrymandering is worse than you think! If prisoners are counted as citizens of the rural areas where they are incarcerated, these areas get greater representation in Congress. No wonder States are loathe to pass prison reforms. Whoever incarcerates the most, gets more money. Hence, our harsh treatment of prisoners, our rates of recidivism, all designed to maintain a balance of power and crush Human rights, a person’s dignity and justice. It’s absurd. Prisoners, if they’re lucky will go back to their home states. Those states have no money for them? We’ve created our own dilemma. Prisoners should be counted as citizens of their original states unless they declare in writing, they’ll reside in their state of incarceration. Further, politics has now become an incentive to treat prisoners in humanely. They’re only bodies to be counted. This explains our Prison system. It’s designed to be harsh, when Decency Pays. Only changing these Laws, will change racial inequality and racial justice.
