TheVoiceOfJoyce Nurses go on strike in Minnesota as negations continued over their contracts. They’re understaffed and requested a pay increase, claiming hospital administrators are well compensated and refuse to acknowledge, patient care is suffering. During a period, when 768 nurses left the profession, patient care declined 33%, characterized by adverse health outcomes. 15, 000 nurses are ready to strike. From what I’ve read and heard around the country, nursing staff is short on personnel and they’re unable to administer proper patient care. Why doesn’t America have a standard of care for all facilities? A known ratio of patient to nurse care? This standard of care would be applicable to hospitals and nursing homes, allowing healthcare professionals to concentrate on care giving, increasing patient healthcare positive outcomes. .

TheVoiceOfJoyce Climate Bill passed the Senate. It’s expected to be signed by the House & President and be a major step in Carbon Emission reductions. We’ll reach 40% reduction by the end of this decade, create 1.5 million clean energy jobs and offer massive incentives to people for switching to clean technologies: $8000 for heat pumps for cooling, Postal Fleet goes electric, $7500 credit to purchase electric cars and the bill insists on capping methane and carbon leaks into communities. Capping toxins curbs unnecessary deaths from pollutants and saves refineries money. Coupled with Medicare pricing negotiations, this bill is a win win for Society. A major step toward Climate Mitigation.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce In our country, the rights of the Corporation supersede the rights of labor. The Republicans think Jennifer Abruzzo is too radical? , She has the credentials to enforce the Rights of Labor. She was part of the Clean Slate for Labor Committee, agreeing on Laws that favor Labor and Unionization. It’s time, to use the power of the Law , to give Labor rights and better wages and encourage Unionization ! Unionization provides a living wage, benefits and shop floor safety, giving Labor a seat at the Corporate table. With all the Corporate abuses labor and the general population are subjected to, it’s time to give Labor a voice. Jennifer Abruzzo has a job to do. If she’s the right person at the right time, America may actually see a resurrection of the Middle Classes, once again?!

TheVoiceOfJoyce Another Corporation with no oversight and Cancer clusters are in southern New Hampshire ! PFAS, toxic forever chemicals have leached into our waters, once again. PFAS chemicals are all over: army bases are contaminated. Where are Regulations and Congressional oversight? Why aren’t Corporations held accountable? Fined? Made to clean our waters and provide health care to the 1000’s of citizens affected? Good governance has good laws to protect us, “We the People”, from harm. This is not an isolated incident. It’s another toxin we’re living with or dying from while our Government is grid locked. Flint has lead in their water. New Jersey has lead in their water and paint. Louisiana has toxic alley from petrochemicals. St. Louis has nuclear waste that was buried and leached into their water supply. Isn’t anybody writing Laws to provide us with clean drinkable water and fresh air to breathe? When do we decide our health and well being are more important than Corporate profits?

TheVoiceOfJoyce Another win for People in the USA, Delta flight attendants in the process of Unionizing. All the other airline have Unions, Delta was a hold out. Now, the People know it’s a necessity to bargain collectively for pay, benefits, work life balance. They want a seat at the table and will collect the necessary votes before year end. With a friendly NLRB, Delta’s previous Union busting tactics, may not to advised. Kudos, the People have spoken once again!

TheVoiceOfJoyce Fighting for saving our Democracy, Kris Mayes is running for Arizona Attorney General. She was forced out of today’s GOP and deserves to win along with a new Secretary of State and Supreme Court justice’s. In swing States, like Arizona, Pa, Michigan, Wisconsin, these seats are pivotal to maintaining our Democracy. Elect people who will protect women’s right to reproductive health, voting rights and absentee ballots. Our Country’s Democracy depends on these States wins. Say no, to the GOP alt right, they’re a minority and no longer represent the moderates of the Republican Party or the vast majority of Arizona.

TheVoiceOfJoyce Dark stores, in NYC neighborhoods are a new grocery shopping warehouse. They’re not open to the Public. They compete with neighborhood stores. They’re unregulated grocery business, competing with local shops. They’ ve got an edge on the competition, delivery in 10 min? How? They hire employees, stress them to the max, offer unsafe working conditions and then fail to pay them. Luckily, many are leaving the NYC region. They’re moving to fast, like tech companies, they move fast and break things, in the process they’re unprofitable and going bankrupt. It’s to bad we’re using people , making them disposable commodities, instead of investing in labor and providing respect and a living wage. PS from 1000’s of locations within NYC, only 23 entities remain. GOPuff is now in Bankruptcy. It came into existence during the Pandemic, offering RapidTests at $25 for 2 tests. Then they morphed into convenience shopping with no rules and regulations. Just like Uber & Lyft, the monies earned leave the Communities. It’s a lose lose.

TheVoiceOfJoyce I heard the experts speak on the course of this War, stating there will be no Peace till each side tires of War? Really? Peace must come to this region, sooner, rather than later. 400 million people rely on Ukrainian grain. The accord, drafted by the UN and Turkey, is to be signed separately with the Russian and Ukrainian delegation. The Farmers are skeptical, but will aid the transport or next years harvest won’t occur. Meanwhile, as Russia lashes out, pretending to take more territory, the Ukrainian forces are on the offensive. Perhaps, this Summer & fall will mark the end of Putin’s bloody incursion! Will the World’s leaders have Laws in place to prevent future Wars from starting and a Peace initiative to stop this one?
