AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Starbucks personnel are penalized for forming a Union. 200 shops are Unionized and 75 employees have been terminated and harassed by management for being part of the Union. Several Starbucks locations are on strike, protesting their lack pay, harassment and lack of benefits. The NLRB is investing all Starbucks employee claims. Good luck! The Rules of a Clean Slate for Workers, would make the process of Unionization easier, eliminating Corporate interference. It would , also, allow for sectoral Unionization. A win win for labor and their Community.

TheVoiceOfJoyce Another by product of Climate Change, pathogens unfamiliar with new territory are landing on our shores, carried by vectors, mosquitoes and others, bringing us malaria, west Nile disease, Covid and many more. As the world continues to heat, refugees are forced off their lands and carry diseases indigenous to their regions, to ours. Another reason to care about Climate Mitigation now. The benefits of Mitigation are a better quality of life and new jobs for new infrastructure industries. Being proactive will pay off in improved health and quality of life!

TheVoiceOfJoyce Climate Bill passed the Senate. It’s expected to be signed by the House & President and be a major step in Carbon Emission reductions. We’ll reach 40% reduction by the end of this decade, create 1.5 million clean energy jobs and offer massive incentives to people for switching to clean technologies: $8000 for heat pumps for cooling, Postal Fleet goes electric, $7500 credit to purchase electric cars and the bill insists on capping methane and carbon leaks into communities. Capping toxins curbs unnecessary deaths from pollutants and saves refineries money. Coupled with Medicare pricing negotiations, this bill is a win win for Society. A major step toward Climate Mitigation.

TheVoiceOfJoyce The analysis: Fight Corporate greed and not working class people. Personal borrowing to purchase goods has increased. The consumer can’t fight monopolies. The Federal Government can put pressure on monopolies by promising a windfall tax on excess profits. Big oil and gas, have made record profits, they’re not investing, they’re giving shareholder buybacks. Why encourage their behavior, lower pricing at the pump by removing Subsidies and instituting a Windfall tax, for Corporations making huge profits, while passing on high costs to consumers ! Why should the 80% experiencing inflation, suffer from Corporate Greed? Give working people a chance to survive and thrive.

TheVoiceOfJoyce Ministers are fighting back Climate Change denial, delay & uncertainty in Southern Communities and West Virginia. They’re adding Solar Panels to their Churches and re greening their properties with flowers, trees and plants native to the area. They’re starting small but they might want to add a movie night for discussion? The documentary “ Big Oil” produced in 3 Parts by the BBC & aired on PBS Frontline, is now streaming on Amazon prime. Ministers can also, lead the way to energy conversion of decommissioned coal mines. Solar Panels and Wind Turbines can integrate with existing infrastructure and produce jobs and sustainable energy. There are cycles in industry. Man and science evolve and as we discover better forms of energy, they replace the old. That is the nature of scientific discovery. Trust in our future. If we desire to survive & thrive, a lot can be accomplished, even in a year. Lockdown improved Hawaiian waters and brought back song birds to many towns. Change is occurring and that’s good. After over a 100 yrs of fossil fuels dominating our grid, it’s time to move on. The Scientists of the late 1970’s were right, the year 2000 would see an exponential rise in CO2 Emissions and that would cause catastrophic warming effects. It’s happening today and it’s cheaper to move forward with many alternatives, rather than rely on Fossil Fuels for our power!

TheVoiceOfJoyce: The War in Ukraine is on going and Russia claims they’re not ready for peace talks. Putin’s agenda, no matter how much destruction of the Ukrainian land, is most likely, The Ports & Donbas. More arms flowing to Zelensky. The Grains? Turkey’s position on Sweden & Finland, the Kurds? Russian oil is now flowing back to the EU at 40% Capacity. Blame some Rapacious politicians for your reliance on oil and start thinking seriously about supplemental energy production. As we find out the “ hard way” , Our lives depend on us reducing our Carbon footprint. Start now, insist all Carbon & methane leaks at facilities are capped or fines levied! Integrate Solar & wind turbines into the electric grid, by using old coal mine infrastructure for their integration ! We’re not powerless, we merely have to think quickly and strategically to save our people and resources.

Isn’t time for every Country to be integrating renewable energy into their grids on an emergency basis? We now know Coal plants can be repurposed for Solar And Wind Turbine integration. Why wait till we run out of food and water resources? We can start the integration now !

TheVoiceOfJoyce Issuing a stake in Federal subsidies to Chip makers makes sense. How much money would be returned to taxpayers and how would it be spent? Why can’t we retroactively tap into the Trillion dollars subsidies of of the Fossil Fuel Industry and reduce pricing at the pump or decrease their Subsidies by 50% until they include renewable energy in their product mix. The Federal Government and taxpayers should benefit from the Subsidies and real estate tax breaks from Big Agricultural Firms, lower prices at the market would be welcome, here, too! There’s a lot our Government can do to lower costs to the Consumer and it’s necessary when Corporate Greed is responsible for higher pricing to the Consumer. Why not target all Corporations doing business with the Government, if their CEO’s make 2200 Times their employees salary, the Federal Government might levy a 10% tax, funding tax payer relief? If the microchip industry gave back equity to the Federal Government to benefit taxpayers, how would the government structure this return on investment? Can this structure be applied to all industries getting Governmental Subsidies? Or all industries doing business with the Government? It’s time “We the People “ benefit from Government largesse, too!

TheVoiceOfJoyce: The Uber Papers. Travis Kalanick, Uber CEO gains power an money for his Corporation, by negotiating ruthlessly for his Corporation’s placement in the Global Community. The Uber Papers, details his campaign to persuade World Leaders to accept his service , while knowingly putting his employees in harms way. If Uber employees were threatened with Violence, he believed that was the price they should pay for the Uber Corporate placement. It appears Kalanick believed he was above the Law and raked in Corporate Billions, while giving his employees minimal pay and destroying the Local cheaper, preferred existing Taxi service market.

TheVoiceOfJoyce Glyphosate found in 80% of American Urine Samples. This chemical is the main ingredient of Roundup, now owned by Monsanto & Bayer. The Manufacturer claims it’s harmless, the scientists say it’s Carcinogenic. Bayer settled for $11 Billion in 2018. Are you part of this Lawsuit? Can you claim you have Non Hodgkin Lymphoma? Are more people at risk? Another claim? Banning the product? The Facts: The insecticide was made for GMO crops and leaves 25% of fields barren, unable to support the planting of new crops. Certainly, there’s cause for medical concern & evaluation. Another, Class Action Lawsuit against the manufacturer? We don’t know the long term harm of these products, it’s part of our food supply. We’re entitled to clean air, clean water and food. Additionally, a chemical destroying soil nutrients maybe proven capable of entering and altering growing cells. Roundup is a major health concern and should be investigated by the FDA!
