Scientists have been warning our Congressional leaders since the late 70’s , that we are altering our climate, limiting our water resources and creating pollution too dire to exist. From California to the Colorado our way of life must change. If we choose to cooperate, conserve Water and act responsibly to decrease our dependence on Fossil Fuels, we will live to rebuild. The choice is ours. Voting starts in North Carolina in a week, don’t choose regressive culture war instigators for election, choose new faces and power our World. You might want to tune into Apple TV and watch Finch, with Tom Hank’s, about survival in a World hostile to human habitation. Many are dying now. What happens when we have no water and no cover from the heat? Can you survive in temperatures exceeding 110? Can you survive year round fires? Pollution? Can we stop the Climate Change deniability and live in the real World.?Social Media is no longer fun, if we’re living in fantasy and not looking and seeing our World.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce The intense heat in California is hurting the poor. They don’t have enough money to pay for air conditioning and oxygen. Too many poor people are in harms way and this year the heat and fires are very intense and effecting people simultaneously. The fires have spread from California, to Montana, Washington & Oregon. It’s difficult to escape the overwhelming heat and fires. Now, the coasts are being lashed by a tropical storm. Flash floods are threatening the San Diego area. AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Day 195, the Ukrainian counteroffensive appears to be working. The Russian installed puppet has delayed a referendum annexing Kherson. It’s too dangerous to attempt at this time. Ukrainians are hitting Kharkiv, as well. Hopefully, the Ukrainian counteroffensive will be victorious and complete, before Russia resupplies with North Jorean weapons. The Nuclear Power Plant is offline and secure. Two IAEA inspectors will remain on site to assure its safety and functioning. The EU suffers expected inflationary fuel pricing, as Russia cuts off supplies. Countries in the EU, UK scrambling for heating supplies. The War in Ukraine has intensified our Climate extremes. Investment in new technologies and their integration in existing power grids, can no longer be postponed. The quicker we get to a post Fossil Fuel World, the better.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce, when workers are maltreated, love 1/2 their pensions or experience pay cuts during inflationary times, they should have their right to Unionize restored. Unfortunately, the NLRB, has lost manpower, however, why can’t they restore the rights of labor to organize across a Sector? Why does every Amazon, Starbucks or Trader Joe’s have to Unionize separately, why not collectively, across the entire sector? In these times of Inflation, making a living wage is imperative for survival, why can’t the Labor Laws reflect the Rights of Labor? Who in the NLRB, can write a Clean Slate for Labor and give “We the People “, a Voice?

He was a friend and helped elevate, Clarence Thomas to the Supreme. Now through is Federalist Foundation, he has successfully nominated members to the Supreme Court, judges who espouse voter suppression and State Gerrymandering. He helped overturn Roe v Wade. Can his power be stopped? He and his constituents don’t represent the majority of Americans. They won’t recuse themselves from voting rights determinations or other Laws that help “ We the People”. Leonard Leo and his foundation stand for big money, wielding power, to suppress the rights of “We the People”. Reject their Gilded Age approach, the feudalism they bring and vote them out of office. If this is the new Republicanism, reject them before they destroy the rights of Americans, in order to preserve the rights of the top 1% as a ruling class.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce As bad as this heatwave is this summer, Scientists predict, this will be the coolest summer moving forward. Many more will die from heat . Heat stroke is insidious, you don’t feel your body temperatures rising till it’s too late. Be hydrated and seek shelter. Every year globally, 20 million people seek refuge from Climate extremes in other Countries. This refugee movement will increase with weather conditions. The quicker we monitor temperature hot spots, the more lives we save in our cities. Remember the Summer of 1979, Chicago, 749 people died from the heat. Plant more trees for shade and start conservation all over the city. No grass, no lawns and more reflective surfaces and less water usage equitably.

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Many people would vote for Climate Change objectives. California is now undergoing raging fires in areas near LA and south of San Diego. With temperatures in the low hundreds fire fighters are suffering from heat shock and have been rushed to local hospitals. Wisely, though with caution, California will maintain its Nuclear Power Plant for another 5 yrs. There should be an emergency summit, in America, on Climate mitigation . Those States not using Federal Money to benefit their citizens, should forfeit that money in full to the Federal Government. For example: Jackson , Mississippi has no water. It’s an African American town and the State Capital, their infrastructure has never been upgraded and the education and healthcare of the State are ineffectual. Yet, Mississippi got $ 28 Billion from the Federal Government. Where is the money used? Oklahoma doesn’t want some of the money the Federal government gives them, yet their teachers aren’t paid enough to teach more than 4 days a week. Where is the money given to the State being used? Republican Governors and poor states. Oklahoma claims a lot of wealth from renewables and fossil fuels, why don’t their citizens have a better quality of life? These are stressful times. Climate Change is effecting all of us, the least every State can do is use their federal money effectively, make their citizens lives better, like California does!

AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Mississippi politics, partly to blame for water inequality in Jackson, Mississippi, the Capital. Jackson’s wealthier white population left, leaving African Americans to struggle for basic living needs, water. They’re not alone, from the Mississippi to the Colorado, a debate and cooperation among all stakeholders must convene to create an equitable distribution of water resources. In Mississippi, the problem may be only the old pipes and no expenditure on upgrading this city. However, in the West and Southwest, the crises is more about wasteful usage and grabbing water for big agriculture, while citizen wells run dry. Now is a time of reckoning for all. Don’t you think it’s time to collaborate on a Policies to maintain what little resources we have, in order to stop the desertification of the area and the inequality of water distribution? Everyone is entitled to water! When will responsible conservation begin?

The investigative Press are supporting this Act. There is too much opposition against the Peoples right to know who’s suppressing our Voting Rights, our Healthcare benefits our ability to mitigate climate. The Koch wealth has suppressed the Disclose Act for 10 yrs. Many Corporations have led in Suppressing these bills as well. It’s time the Public was involved in determining our right to Political transparency. AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Why isn’t the NLRB aggressively prosecuting Starbucks for violating the Civil Liberties of their employees? Forming a Union should not be met with Corporate dismissal. Jennifer Abruzzo helped write The Clean Slate for Labor, how long does Labor have to wait for their implementation? Starbucks Corporate Power is excessive and cares little for the payment and benefits due employees. Starbucks, is evidently following the Chicago School of Economics, long debunked, that espoused Shareholder value & profits, over pay with dignity and proper working conditions for employees. Henry Ford understood, you pay your employees handsomely and they can afford your products. Major breaks in the employer/ employee contract started to occur with President Ronald Reagan. Now with a new person in the NLRB, fund the organization for Rule Changes that favor employees and keep Corporations at arms length from their Rights to Unionize!
