Rich McCormick is an emergency room doctor.
He took an oath to care for people. Whoever they were. However badly they were hurting.
Then he went to Washington and spent two years proving he meant none of it.
The Doctor’s Record
Here is the care he has delivered in Washington.
He told hungry kids to get a job instead of a free school lunch.
He bragged that he picked berries in a field as a boy, before child labor laws got in the way.
He voted for the largest Medicaid cut in the country’s history.
He defended gutting the CDC and said AI could do the work instead.
He told a packed town hall to “Google it” when a voter challenged his numbers.
He pulled rank when the room pushed back on him: “I happen to be a doctor. I know a few things.”

It is the same man every time. A hungry kid. A sick patient. A scared voter at a town hall. He looks at people who are hurting and decides they had it coming.

The Man Who Wants to Replace Him
His name is Tony Kozycki.
He flew the F/A-18 Super Hornet off carrier decks. He completed three combat deployments. When he came home, he did not cash in.
He became an attorney and went to work for families who get steamrolled by systems built to ignore them.
He decided to run after he learned about Godfrey Wade, a Georgia Army veteran deported over driving without a license. A man who served this country, thrown out of it. Kozycki could not let it stand.

He wants to ban members of Congress from trading stocks on inside information. He wants to bring back the tax credit that cut child poverty nearly in half. He wants a Congress that works for the people paying for it.
Why This Matters
McCormick thinks this seat is safe. His own neighbors disagree.
They packed his town halls and booed him to his face. They gave standing ovations to the people who challenged him.
A man who tells hungry kids to get a job does not get to feel safe at home. And he does not.
But anger fades if nobody fuels it. McCormick is counting on that. He wants the outrage to die down and the cameras to leave, so he can quietly bank the money to bury his opponent.

This race is not won on Election Day. It is won now, in the quiet months, by the people who refuse to let the anger cool.
