AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce In a first step to giving fast food workers a voice in wage and benefit negations, California Governor Gavin Newson has signed a new Law into effect. The Law effective , 1/23, would give fast food workers a seat at the Corporate table in all municipalities where they work. 500,000 workers will be represented by this Law and Fast Food chains are trying to overturn their rights thru a Referendum. Don’t buy the Fast Food Chains arguments. They’re not being harmed. They’re right to abuse and underpay staffing is their issue. Finally, one sector of Corporations will be legally accountable for their actions. Wages won’t be withheld, the abuse has to stop and people may earn a living wage and have a say in their work place environment. As an employee of a Corporation, wouldn’t you want a living wage and better working conditions? Wouldn’t you want a seat and a voice at the Corporate table? Support the Fast Food workers, vote for them not Corporate Power and let Californians craft more Laws favoring Labor. Labor isn’t responsible for inflation. Aren’t these Laws, in 24 States, curtailing our right to protest and freedom of speech? Why would you vote for Laws crafted by industry to curtail your rights under the Constitution? Why aren’t amicus briefs being filed against these industries & Lobbying groups? How many Americans have lost their lives to pollutants? Fires? Flooding? Heat? Do you want non elected officials to craft the Laws of your State? If not, vote out every Republican and preserve your Constitutional rights. In Brazil, the police have charged Bolsonaro with the crime of spreading false information about Covid. He called it a cold, 680,000 Brazilians died. He disparaged wearing a mask. Stating masks killed people during the Spanish flu. The opposite was true. He linked AIDS to Covid? There is no link. These remarks were broadcast over Social Media, before they were deleted. It was too late for many in Brazil. Once Disinformation spreads, its hard for people to understand the truth. There’s an election coming up in Brazil. Brazilians should vote Bolsonaro out of office. The Indigenous people have seen and lived with droughts before. They know what creates harmony with the land and people and culture wars create a society of violence. Scientists have been warning our Congressional leaders since the late 70’s , that we are altering our climate, limiting our water resources and creating pollution too dire to exist. From California to the Colorado our way of life must change. If we choose to cooperate, conserve Water and act responsibly to decrease our dependence on Fossil Fuels, we will live to rebuild. The choice is ours. Voting starts in North Carolina in a week, don’t choose regressive culture war instigators for election, choose new faces and power our World. He was a friend and helped elevate, Clarence Thomas to the Supreme. Now through is Federalist Foundation, he has successfully nominated members to the Supreme Court, judges who espouse voter suppression and State Gerrymandering. He helped overturn Roe v Wade. Can his power be stopped? He and his constituents don’t represent the majority of Americans. They won’t recuse themselves from voting rights determinations or other Laws that help “ We the People”. Leonard Leo and his foundation stand for big money, wielding power, to suppress the rights of “We the People”. Reject their Gilded Age approach, the feudalism they bring and vote them out of office. TheVoiceOfJoyce WHY ARE WE SUPPORTING THE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY? They make $2.8 Billion a day, accumulating $54 Trillion in 50 yrs or 1% of the World’s wealth. They’ve stopped investment in alternative fuels to maintain their wealth at the expense of our Planet warming, at the expense of polluting and dissipating our Natural Resources. They have enough money to buy off every Politician on our Planet to maintain their dirty profits. As a reward , for Fossil Fuel largesse ( graft, corruption) Governments subsidized them , add $16 Billion a day to their coffers in SUBSIDIES? The US provides them with a $1 Trillion a year? Wouldn’t this money be better used to help we the People survive the price gouging we’re incurring, the child care we need, the min wage and benefits we deserve, the transportation and preservation of our Natural Resources? Action on the elimination of these Subsidies is a priority!
