• We documented the FBI’s seizure of voting recordsrelated to the 2020 presidential election from Georgia’s Fulton County and more records that were handed over from Arizona’s Maricopa County — efforts that experts say further Trump’s narrative of voter fraud and sow distrust in election security. The firm hired by Arizona Senate Republicans to lead the audit of the Maricopa County files was funded by and took direction from Trump allies.
  
• We reported on two high-profile deniers of Trump’s 2020 election loss who now work at the Department of Homeland Security overseeing election infrastructure and security. 
  
• We revealed that a federal tool rushed into use by DHS has misidentified eligible U.S. citizens as noncitizens on voter rolls, sparking widespread confusion for local election officials and concerns about disenfranchising citizens.
  
• We brought readers inside Trump’s failed hunt for noncitizen voters that, despite intense White House pressure, has produced only a few dozen noncitizen voter prosecutions nationwide — and even fewer convictions.
