TheVoiceOfJoyce Where do we start? Rich nations and poor nations are feeling the effects of climate extremes. In the US, it may no longer be possible to plant the same crop for the 6 th generation. Our land and water resources are becoming scarce. Mitigation now, on a Global Scale, is essential. Can or will the US lead the way with a Blueprint for expeditiously integrating renewable energy as we decrease our reliance on Fossil Fuels? The longer we wait, the less resources we have and the more Reparations, we and other developed countries, will be required to pay in some form. According to the UN commission, drastic measures are required to not exceed 1.5 degrees Celsius. Considering our dwindling crops and water resources, John Kerry, as our Ambassador, should make every effort to develop a workable plan for our Global survival. We no longer have 30 more years. Thanks to the Fossil Fuels effective Climate Denial propaganda, climate crises is occurring. The plan for survival should include divestment of fossil fuel development globally and replacements expeditiously. Especially in Africa. You can’t blame developed Nations solely for famine, if you’re benefitting from a Fossil Fuel exploration bonanza. The FBI has New Jersey synagogues on high alert, due to credible bomb threats. Hate words kill. There ought to be a Law banning hate speech and making it a crime. It is a crime against people and groups and does become violent. Anti semitism, anti Asian, anti black, the list continues. Stop the hatred. Kanye West has been fined and he’s digging deeper by purchasing an alt right social media site? Kyrie Irving has been suspended from the Nets? Will he too, dig in his heels and spew more hate? In 7 years, civil discourse has been replaced by hate speech, misinformation, disinformation, conspiracy theories, violence and abuse? Is this the America the majority wants? If no, stand up to the perpetrators and if they’re in public office, vote them out this midterm. Yes, it’s tied to China and there’s censorship of videos on “ banned subjects”, like Ukraine or the Uyghurs , it’s the algorithm that promotes content. The For You Page, uses an algorithm that aggregates all personal data and pushes videos toward an individual, intensifying their experience and in some cases, causes emotional harm and violence. Don’t single out TikTok, all the Social Media Platforms are aggregating our data, predicting our behavior and selling our behavioral patterns to third parties. We have no privacy. We may not want a corporation to decide what we see and what we choose. Nor do we want our data to go to Human resources, or insurance or credit agencies. How will the new Law, going through Congress, curtail the use of our data and behavior? How will the new Law Change Section 230 of the Communication decency act, allowing us to sue the platforms, if we’re harmed? Who will regulate the algorithms to stop the hatred, the incitement to violence, the self harm and mental confusion caused by the algorithms? What Law will stop the Harmful amplification of violent and abusive data? The algorithms either must be transparent for regulation to a standard or there must be enough sampling of data to enforce a change in the algorithms? Society is not safe with an unregulated Technology systems, that is not understood. How many people realize all their news is curated for them all the time? these silos of data, create a wedge in our Society polarizing our thoughts through algorithms design. The Social Media Platforms are not neutral and they’re unequal. Voices are not heard or amplified in a fair and just manner. The truth is not seen by the the many. Yet, big money supporting and promoting violence, insurrection, anti VAX’s &anti climate deniers are powered by money and an army of followers, making millions for themselves and the Platforms. Who will create a more neutral system?

TheVoiceOfJoyce Why are scientists wasting time studying a person’s body weight in order to conclude there’s a correlation between body weight and our Carbon footprint. It’s absurd. Rather then weaponizing peoples food choices and body types, scientific time would be better spent devising methodologies to remove toxins from our water and food and creating a substitute for King Corn. Marginalized people, people requiring inexpensive food, need nutritious food not cheap processed food laced with non nutritious ingredients. Give poor people and the middle classes inexpensive vegetables and fruits and they’ll change their diet. Meanwhile, fight climate change on a large scale, focus on agriculture and bringing back heritage grains.
