(Photo by Yiqing Wang)Chesapeake Regional Healthcare tries brunch to tackle nurse shortageChesapeake Regional Healthcare is trying new approaches to tackle the nursing shortage, including its recent “Brunch & Brainwaves” hiring event.
The hospital welcomed neurology nursing candidates with food, tours of its new critical care tower and one-on-one interviews in a relaxed setting.
The effort comes as burnout and staffing shortages continue to strain the nursing profession statewide. Leaders at Chesapeake Regional say they hope to fill more than 30 positions.
