As Minnesota communities face occupation, raids, and executions – Target has refused to take a stand. And this comes after they caved to the regime, rolling back DEI commitments and donating to Trump’s inauguration. Corporate silence and cooperation don’t protect working people; they make harm possible.
This Saturday, working people are taking a seat at their local Target store to demand ICE out of our communities, real accountability for federal violence, and corporate leaders who stand with us, not with enforcement and profit over people. We all know we all have a lot to learn from Minnesota and how they are responding to this urgent moment to protect their community members to ensure ICE is out! One in four Minnesotans participated in the Day of Truth & Freedom last Friday – by not going to work, not shopping, not going to school or joining the march.
Very soon we will all need to rise like they have, by looking out for our neighbors, meeting the moment and demanding the country we need and deserve. That’s why we’re hosting a national call this Sunday on how everyone can play a role in the times to come. After all the in-person action on Saturday, join us virtually on Sunday to learn how we each can build the power we need to make a general strike real in our communities, wherever we are:
