TheVoiceOfJoyce A guaranteed basic income, contrary to the classists tropes, helps people to lift themselves out of poverty while caring for their kids. A basic living wage has been tried successfully in 48 cities. Stockton , California and Austin Texas have successful programs. In Austin, a basic living wage of $500 a month, supplemented a $17/ hr internship, allowing a single parent to attend a Community College Program offering certificate degrees. According to one of the attendees, stress was reduced , better parenting provided and he eventually graduated, moved to Seattle and got a decent job at 2.5 x’s his original Salary. The cash infusion helps many succeed and increases the prospects that their children will succeed as well. A good foundation, healthy food, a roof over your head, give you the incentive to succeed. Let’s vote for Democrats & independents this midterm, assuring that, in the next 2 yrs, the For the Families Act becomes Law!

These chemicals are linked to cancers, kidney disease, heart disease and other diseases. Screening for these chemicals is recommended and a class action lawsuit may be started , or is in progress, against a Fayetteville plant owned by DuPont Chemicals. The Pandemic may have caused the biggest drop in US life expectancy since 1945. The study was published in Plos One, looking at community for the benefit of society today and in the future. When you vote in the mid terms, there’s an extra incentive to vote Democrat, your life really depends on voting Democratic, it’s an established fact. TheVoiceOfJoyce Too bad the NLRB won’t change their rules to let whole Corporations Unionize without interference. How many injuries must occur before the NLRB,OHSA, Transportation get involved. The American worker is mistreated daily by large corporations making enormous profits. If Amazon has $3.4 million to spend on Union avoidance consultants and $213 million on CEO compensation,they can upgrade employee facilities, pay a decent wage and treat people with dignity. Corporate welfare and unaccountability are no longer acceptable. When will the NLRB rewrite the rules and make a Clean Slate for workers, the Law of the Land? When will other Corporate employees stand together and protest for better working conditions and pay? Fight Corporate induced inflation and greed!

He champions voting rights and successfully lobbied for $35 cap on Insulin and won. He’s worked with Ted Cruz on a highway funding proposal. AmericaSpeaks TheVoiceOfJoyce Unions are striking again this month for higher wages, better staffing, benefits. They’re striking for wages because their wages aren’t enough to keep up with inflation. Profits have risen exponentially at major Corporations and there’s been no trickle down to labor. In hospitals, one nurse for 8-10 patients is a burden, nurses can’t function without a standard of care. Profit driven corporations benefit a few and shareholders and leave workers stressed and overburdened as they try to perform their jobs, understaffed and underpaid. Perhaps there should be one day of Solidarity with Labor, when we all walk out I support of their goals. Henry Ford understood , you had to pay labor a decent wage, enabling Labor to purchase his cars. Today’s oligarchs want all the money for themselves. Unionization is good for Americans and America, the Corporations need labor to survive, now they’re asking for compensation due, support them!

Institutions of higher learning are beginning to acknowledge that their tuition is too high for most applicants and their offering higher grant relief.
